    MIDI and lighting possibilities

Not quite that's not how theatre works, what normally happens in theatre is you have a person reading the script off the stage and if the scene is a thunder clap for instance the person who is calling the show gives the cues to the lighting control room (LX) and the sound control (this is...

    MIDI and lighting possibilities

This is specifically for my amusement, you see occasionally I am having to run shows on my own and not being an octapus is a bit of a draw back. as for lighting technicians the job can reverse rolls so it's swings and round abouts. The desk I am using is an Zero 88 Illusion desk. It's what was...

    MIDI and lighting possibilities

I've sussed out the MIDI show call for operating a lighting desk. Once you have programmed the lighting desk to the required intensities, movement for the lighting cues. has anyone worked with midi show call yet

I have got to rig up focus lamps and programme the desk on Wednesday. The way the desk appears to work is by programming cues which can then be triggered via the midi connection, I'll let you know more soon.

has anyone worked with midi show call yet

I've got a digitally controlled desk with a DMX link so I might be ok. I'm wondering if I might have to put the midi through a MOTU and then into the lighting desk lighting controller. All being well I'll start getting my head round it this week. I'm not sure if you programme the desk to adjust...

    Audition crashes

That's a wierd one, I've always found cool edit and audition for that matter to be the most reliable bits of software I have ever used. You don't think you've assigned the keyboard short cut for record to one that shuts the program down, I know it might sound daft but it could be a possibility.
