Can't change Shared Folder in Sonar

    >Is it possible to permanently mount these additional system partitions as x/y/z, or whatever? Yes, I have the drive letter set to X:\ and I can't see circumstances where it would get changed, I only have 17 USB ports. In the past, a Sonar support person would point me to the right reference in...

Can't change Shared Folder in Sonar

    >If you do I absolutely would not find-all and replace in there. It's not as bad as it sounds. Reg, a free util, will give you a list of all occurrences of the Search string, then you're not doing something global without knowing what it is. I tried that but I didn't hit on the key or value for...

Can't change Shared Folder in Sonar

    >What is it exactly that's looking for stuff at f:\? Shared utils, control surfaces, .dlls, the plugin scanner, etc. >Regardless, why are the drive letters shuffling? Because I installed to an external drive. If you're plugging different drives in all day, they won't keep their original drive...

Can't change Shared Folder in Sonar

I'm now a Studio One user but I've orphaned a bunch of work in Sonar. I installed Sonar to an external disk (F:\) so the plug in scanner doesn't get confused and list everything twice. The problem with that is that external drive letters get shuffled by Windows and F:\ might be something else...

What do I do with Smart Loops Drum MIDI files so Superiror Drummer 2.0 can see them?

I've got a bunch of Groove Monkey stuff working in SD2 but they might have been made to satisfy SD2's requirements, type of MIDI file and the mapping, which I'm pretty sure is GM.

What do I do with Smart Loops Drum MIDI files so Superiror Drummer 2.0 can see them?

Failure - - the path of least persistence, you got that right. If you want to find the most efficient way to get a job done, give it to a lazy man.

What do I do with Smart Loops Drum MIDI files so Superiror Drummer 2.0 can see them?

These are not samples, they're MIDI grooves so as long as they're mapped correctly, SD2 should be able to use them. I could just drag the MIDI Groove Clips folders into the right bucket but that folder structure isn't always what you get under the Grooves tab in SD2.

What do I do with Smart Loops Drum MIDI files so Superiror Drummer 2.0 can see them?

They don't have an installer and my MIDI folder is already in a mess so I don't want to screw up. The contents of a Smart Loops Volume looks like this: Volume 1: ---Manual ---MIDI Loops -----Dry Studio Kit ---------MIDI Groove Clips ---------Session Drummer ---------Standard MIDI Files Type 0...

Studio One v4 I'm entering MIDI on one track and it's appearing on another

I have a drum track and a bass track and nothing else. When I try to add bass notes to the bass track, they appear on the drum track. I've removed the track and instrument and recreated them but the same thing happens. The tracks are separate and different and all settings are different...

    Change data drive letter

It wasn't long ago but I've got trouble remembering the problems because I panicked. Win 10 started blathering about inherited permissions and then it wanted to rip through the whole drive changing the path on every hit and note and patch and it gave me a horrible ETA, like 2 days. I pulled the...

    Convert Studio One proprietary midi?

I just learned that 1) Studio One does have a proprietary format (.musicloop), and 2) you can choose standard MIDI when you Export. I spent a lot of time learning music notation and I don't understand a DAW that doesn't have a Staff View. I know about Notion but it's easier to Export/Import to...

Studio One has its own proprietary MIDI format, does anyone know if it can be converted to a normal midi file? Thanks - rev

    Change data drive letter

I tried it and I got a bunch of errors so I backed out and no harm done. I can live with a really annoying drive letter.

    M-Audio Keystation MINI 32

Thanks for the reply! The MINI 32 was not one of the choices listed but I used the dialog to define it and it shows up in the list of MIDI devices. Win 10 says 'Keyboard is set up and ready to go' but it speaks with false tongue because I still can't get it to play anything. The vst3 port says...

    M-Audio Keystation MINI 32

I bought an M-Audio Keystation MINI 32, which is about the smallest MIDI keyboard known to man. With the purchase you get a downloadable synth. The synth works perfectly when pressing the virtual keys in Studio One but I have no idea how to make the keyboard play the sound that's loaded. Can...

    Change data drive letter

I was hoping that was the case. I can't think of any program that can only point to the original location. OK, thanks. I'll try it.

Moving from Sonar to Studio One

I'm no longer using Sonar and I'm on Studio One v4.0 The problem is I have a lot of unfinished songs in Sonar and I don't think Studio One can open Sonar projects. Furthermore, I can't have both installed on the same computer because the plugin managers get confused and I end up with duplicate...

    Change data drive letter

I keep all my libraries on one disk and I want to change the drive letter. I'm concerned that the program that's pointing to a sample set won't be able to find them if I do that. Does anyone know if that's true? Or do programs use the name of the disk, or the disk number? Thanks - rev

Where to put MIDI for drums

I have MIDI files with folder titles like 08@EZD_poprock but they have no installer. Presumably I have to drag them into a folder where EZ or Superior Drummer can see them? Can anyone tell me where that is? Thanks - rev
