    Crazy fan sounds

drstawl: I don't know if I just have a bad case of the sillies or what, but your cousins commment is the 2nd thing I've read in this forum today that has made me fall out of my chair laughing. Emeric: I find myself using the same mouse position/monitor off combo quite a bit when I'm recording...

That Montana Grunge Sound - Part One

That definitely clears things up. If she has taken to calling you dad on occasion, then you must be doing something right. I understand about the multiple father thing as well. I also have about five former stepmoms out there-one of which is in Wisconsin. Life is interesting. dmc

    question for experienced MP3 creators

I checked the encoders that I have and none allow you to change the sampling rate; however, SCMPX allows you to adjust the conversion bitrate to as low as 32kbps, which should accomplish the same thing. dmc

An song from 92, jazz like.

Emeric: That is a very pleasant song. I dig your guitar playing. It's the kind of song that makes me want to hug my wife and kiss my dog...or vice versa. It sounds pretty good. Did you record the guitars direct? I did notice something about the mix that could either be a result of going...

New mp3 born on the net

Hey drstawl: I listened to this mix; it's interesting. I think at times the guitar/synth interaction was good but other times it was a little busy. The overall sound is good, but the drum track could use a little more volume in the mix. Kind of reminds me of MC 900 Foot Jesus. dmc

    CMiller's 1st contribution

Damn, that's one hell of an achilles heel you got there S2K. Neil Young singing sounds like shaggy from Scooby Doo singing on a vibrating bed with a clothes pin on his nose. :) And the whole Neil Young/Pearl Jam thing was whack. But as long as we're exposing ourselves to flaming, I gotta say...

Eternal Salvation (or TRIPLE your money back!)

Mel Fries Up Burrito Snacks. Oh yeah, I forgot the purpose of this post-feedback. I agree with S2K the drums jam, that is a nice sound you got there. And the recording has a very "live" feel to it. This really isn't my type of music, but I loved that scream at 1:57. Sounds like some...

    Need to borrow some fingers...

The same thing happens to me. Just take the advice of one of my beer-bellied, copenhagen-dipping, BIKE short-wearin', paddle-wielding, wife-beating, statuatory raping, always-yellin' coaches from high school and play through the pain. I think in one post S8-N had mentioned pizza grease....that...

    Interesting article

It is a great site, but their forum can't touch this one. It's kinda like Playboy, just read it for the *ahem* articles. dmc [This message has been edited by dmcsilva (edited 12-22-1999).]

That Montana Grunge Sound - Part One

S2K: Definitely has energy. I like the mix, sounds pretty damn good to me. You may be suffering from SMS-Subjective Mix Syndrome. The two opposing parts of the song create a good tension and keep things interesting. The rythym guitar sound is good for the song; I don't know if I'd chunk...

    S2K-Some setup advice?

Sounds like our respective companies are fortunate to have good, decent, hardworking and dedicated employess such as us. I know my employer is so kind, generous, and giving, that it's nice to give it back to 'em once in a while. [picture broomstick inserted into anus of favorite supervising...
