    IK Multimedia Amplitube Fender!

So I've been messing around with the demo version of this for a good 2 hours now. The cleans are pretty nice, still not what I was hoping. But still very close. The dirty on the other hand. I have yet to find something that really has a good full crunch to it. So that's a bummer. Overall I...

    IK Multimedia Amplitube Fender!

How do guitar plugins work? How do these plugins work? How do you plug in the guitar to the computer? I sound like such a noob. I've only recorded guitars through micing. Would I record line in? Or how...So curious. Do I have to get a special guitar interface? Or... Thanks! -Elliot

Finding the "sweet spot" for micing technique?

So my friend said that this works great...I haven't had a chance to try it yet... How I understood it was you take the cable that is plugged into your amp and hold down the tip (the one that usually is in the guitar) and move it around the speaker, and where there is the least amount of hum is...

    Mbox preamps?

MAIN QUESTION: So how are the preamps on the mbox? are they acceptable? I don't need anything amazing, just something that isn't complete shit. If you want to read more on my situation: So I was planning on getting a nicer protools interface (002 or 003) but then I had to pay my registration...

Not sure how to describe this...

Maybe? Never really worked with them. Yeah, I guess I'll scratch that idea then. I realized that my overdrive pedal needs to be either first in my chain or after true bypass pedals. So I'd need one with true bypass. So what ermghoti suggested is probably what I'll go with eventually. Thanks...

Not sure how to describe this...

So I have a pedal that when rolled back on the volume knob on the guitar, it has a fantastic clean. Very sparkly and it's just nice :) So that being said. Would there be some sort of way to have a switch that I could literally just press in order to make it so the volume knob is a certain...

    Drum trigger plugin?

Someone told me about this once, but I forgot the name of it. A plugin which would turn drum hits into midi files so you could put in different sounds in place of the drums. Anyone know of this program? Does it work with Mac 10.5.6? Also, if I got a hold of this plugin, is there a way I could...

    Reverend Guitars

I just bought a buckshot in November. I Love the guitar. Plays so much better than I could have imagined, and the pickups sound fantastic. Besides it being my first guitar with a single coil (damn single coil buzz..Working on shielding it.) it has been great. If I get another guitar, it's gonna...

Converting SCXD to head and cab...

yeah, I'll keep mullin' it over. I'd probably build a new box for at least the "head" part. But for the cab, I'd try and salvage whatever I could of the stock, but we'll see. I might consider making a whole new cabinet. It's not about it Looking like a head. It's about getting it to be lighter...

Converting SCXD to head and cab...

So I'm wondering how much of a pain in the ass it might be. I figure just cut off the lower part of the amp and then just get some other pieces of wood to complete the cab and make a better enclosure for the head. I know someone who is a wood worker type guy who would help. But yeah. I want my...

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

I heard about the Blackheart http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013OBUQ0 , and then I think I saw a Krank 20w head http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Krank-Rev-Jr-Standard-20W-Tube-Guitar-Amp-Head?sku=489719&src=3WFRWXX&ZYXSEM=0&CAWELAID=239498957 Then the Egnater Rebel...

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ValveSrHD/ So I just ran across this while cruisin' through sweetwater.. Anyone know if it sounds good? I've heard great things about the valve jr. Well if you haven't heard about it, at least now you know :D I sure hope it can get super loud...

    Pro Tools noob question...

According to what's new in M-powered 8, it has pretty low latency monitoring. Or so it seems. There's nothing saying that it's different in LE than M-Powered. But there might be more than meets the eye...I hope that it does have low enough latency monitoring because I can't afford LE.... EDIT...
