    New Electronics for Strat.

They only have the cheap box switches. Or at least they look like the "cheap" ones someone has shown me. Maybe I'll just get one of them anyways, just to save money, and anything is better than what I have now.

    Low-Watt tube recording amp

Super Champ XD I'm surprised there haven't been more suggestions for this. Still though. It's a great amp that can get really tons of great tones. FANTASTIC cleans! And the distortions are better than acceptable in my book. I got mine for $300. But I think the price has gone up recently or...

    New Electronics for Strat.

Alright, the nearest guitar center to me is 5 hours away...anywhere I can find on the internet? Also, my guitar isn't a fender. It's a strat ripoff. Does that make a difference in what I get? I'll get those pots from GF then.

    New Electronics for Strat.

I already decided on these pickups.. http://store.guitarfetish.com/provalstpiou.html Now I'm looking into new pots and switch. I was lookin' at this for a switch. http://www.allparts.com/store/electronics-switches-ep-0078-000,Product.asp Then as far as pots go, I really don't know anything...

    Getting out of the garage

Love it! The drums are great. Very big, and fantastically punchy. I feel like the right side of the panning spectrum is a little empty due to guitar more towards left. I'd love for the guitar in the center, but as it is sounds great. Those drums are fantastic. I'm very jealous. Well done!

First new song for a while. Best yet.

We re-mixed the song and worked with the drums alot. Got the snare sounding more tight, and the bass drum more defined. I'll upload it soon. We're REALLY trying to avoid re-tracking drums. It's a huge pain in the ass for our situation here at school. But yeah. Thanks for the link, I'm checkin'...

Can i use spdif AND analog ins on mbox?

I'm pretty sure with the New Mbox 2's you can use both. But I have no experience, nor have I heard anything about, with the mbox 1's.

First new song for a while. Best yet.

So any suggestions on getting more definition in the drums? We're going to re-track the vocals for the chorus. I feel that the verse vocals are good where they are. Alright, so we definitely want a better recorded sound. So more definition in drums is definitely a big thing. Re-track some...

New pickups for 2 guitars. (tele & strat)

What are they like? I'll definitely look into them. Great price. Yeah, I've tried shielding with heavy duty tinfoil (read that that worked fine) but it didn't really help at all. It helped barely, but nothing that was worth the 2 hours of me fiddling around getting it right. Dang. The lace...

New pickups for 2 guitars. (tele & strat)

Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to spend some money this summer. One of the things I want to do is to get some new pickups. I have a Reverend buckshot (tele bridge pickup, mini humbucker neck pickup) and a standard strat copy. The brand is a lotus. Looks identical to a strat in terms of...

First new song for a while. Best yet.

The snare? alright. So like what are you thinking? more compressed? maybe add some high end to it? Yeah, the panning of the bass was just an experiment of sorts. It sounded great through the monitors, but when I listened to it through my headphones, it was just too annoying/weird. Thanks for...

Finding the "sweet spot" for micing technique?

Update! The "real" technique! Alright, so this is coming from a grammy award winning producer. (Bret Huus). So you take the 1/4" cable and bend it right by the tip which will make your amp have a hum/hiss. (or something of the sort) then you put your ear to the amp and wherever you hear the...

    Mbox preamps?

Alright, thanks. Good to know. I'll probably end up buying the RNP and bypassing the pre's eventually. But yeah. Thanks again for the info.

Finding the "sweet spot" for micing technique?

The reason I laughed was because I thought it was a ridiculously obvious suggestion. Makes sense. I've usually just stuck a mic in the spot where i know it sounds pretty good. I'll definitely mess around with all these suggestions.
