Anyone who says you can't do this stuff on Linux needs to listen to this track!
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 with the:
Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-9-rt #152-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT RT Thu Oct 15 05:01:14 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
kernel.
Foxconn 45csx motherboard with an Atom 330 cpu and 2 Gig ram and sata hard...
Linux user eh? Same here. I also had problems with Soundclick, couldn't even create an account.
Gotta ask. Was this recorded/produced on Linux? if so, can we have some technical details?
Great production by the way.

At the risk of stating the obvious..................
By looking at the circuit.
Cathode bias will always have a resistor from the Cathode to ground. And a pull-down resistor from the Grid to ground.
Fixed bias will usually have the Cathode going straight to ground, and the grid pull-down...
Amplifiers also have a characteristic called "Damping Factor". If you Thevenise the amplifier output equivalent circuit, you have a voltage source with a series impedance. The ratio of speaker impedance to amplifier output impedance is the damping factor. Damping stops the speaker cone from...

Disclaimer: these people have nothing to do with me. I was just looking for some fabric to cover my gobo.
Also be aware HI-FI speakers are designed to a different paradigm than instrument amplifier speakers. Hi-Fi speakers are designed for linear travel. Instrument amplifier speakers are designed so that the coil moves out of the magnetic field on extended excursions. This stops the speaker from...
At the risk of scaring off everybody from this challenge, lest they end up with my lyrics, here it is.
(verse 1)
Pretty as such I know I'm not
And I don't really give a damn
Is it really asking too much
For you to call me ma'am
(chorus)
Flowers are pretty
Music's like wine
Why does this happen...
That's OK. Would have been easier if the OP had his country in his profile. Because of the UK plugpack, I assumed he was Britain. Right answer for the wrong reason.
Can you plug your oem ac adapter straight into the wall? I suspect the confusion is, the thing you're calling a transfomer, is that white pin adapter.
A transformer "transforms", from one voltage to another. Like 240-110. I took it from your original post that you had a 240-110 transformer in...
Dude,
This just sounds wrong. All you want is an adapter which plugs into your wall socket, and has an output suitable for the DMP3. From a quick google, looks like the DMP3 needs 9 volts AC.
You don't specify what the transformer you mention is, but if it's got a US socket on the output, I...
I have seen sockets on guitars wired up as Tip = signal & Ring = ground (my First Act Lola electric.) Use a balanced TRS lead into something that doesn't match, and it doesn't work. Try a proper TS mono unbalanced guitar lead.
This may or may not be your problem, but it caught me out.

I'm also in Australia, and in the market for some powered monitors. I can confirm the ridiculous price down here for monitors. The tyranny of distance, perhaps? I can't help but wonder how thick the gold plating is on the KRK's.:)
And I haven't seen a Zoom R16 here yet, but the HD16 is about...
Ta.
100 cents = one semitone. That's the bit I was missing.
So, if there are 12 semitones in an octave, then a change of one semitone would be 100/12, or 8.333 percent. Taking 8 cents of that would be 0.667 %.
