The drummer in my band uses a shitty ass cb set, but since we play punk, we dont really have standards. I was just wondering how to tune a drum to get a nice attack and not much resonence. we dont want too much ringing out. Loosen the top heads and tighten the bottom? Tighten both?....weve tried...

i dont know if this is news to any of you, but appearantly sony is putting out all the sonic foundry programs like, acid, sound forge, vegas video, ect ect...They dont look much different at all either. I think they also have a bunch of other new partnerships too, but i didnt read into any of those.

put yer head to the speaker, then see if it sounds good. Tweak it until it sounds as best as you can, than cut some of the gain, and boost some of the mids. Then experiment with mic placement, most people like it pointing to the side of the cone, slightly off axis. Experiment around before...

my thoughts....find a place where you can try them out, maybe see if anyone will let you take it home for an evaluation period. I think guitar center lets you do that.

how bad is this mic? Is it even worth buying. Its really cheap, and mxl mics seemed to be pretty highly regarded as 'bang for the buck' mics.
