Cheers guys, how is the new drummer feature in Logic Pro X? Is it exactly the same as it is in Garageband or is it completely different. For me this has been the best addition to GB and made laying down ideas so much easier and faster.

From a musicians perspective i think Garageband is excellent. It's capable of producing just as good quality recordings as any other DAW and i personally find it quicker and easier to use for the majority of tasks. Anyone? What's even more strange is i only notice the latency when using a mic (line) for vocal or acoustic. It doesn't appear noticeable with electical guitar or bass (inst) with modelling amps.

Forgot to mention I'm using GarageBand 11.

Just got the Auralex Mopads for mine as i wanted to angle them, they definitely tighten things up and bring out even more detail. Rokit 5's should come with a pair of these as standard.

Guys thanks for all of the replies, i eventually got the BX5A's delivered the other day and can safely say they are like a breath of fresh air. Much more detailed than the Rokits and i can actually hear what's happening in the mids now. The bass isnt as deep but it is much more natural sounding...

I consider myself quite lucky, just spoke to the retailer and they are happy to take them back. I'm going to have a mess around and connect them directly to the computer first and see what results that brings. I might even move things to another room to hear the difference. Cheers Guys! :)

No there's no need for Pod Farm to run, Guitarport just acts as any other USB audio interface. All internal routes in system preferences (on a Mac) are set to use Guitarport as the input/output sources. Haven't even booted up my DAW yet as i want to adjust to the speakers before i record...
