    On a budget. Curtains,wall hangings,tapestries,area rugs,throw pillows etc... using airspace to your advantage. Furniture,couches,bookcases etc.. will provide some diffusion. Sound waves won't know the difference. Hit the second hand shops. G

    Headphone out on the Yamaha is a headphone amp.You plug headphones in. To use an outboard headphone amp use the monitor outputs of the Yamaha. G

    Works to a certain extent.Reduces bleed to the BD mic from other parts of the kit but does nothing on the beater side. Common practice is to HPF all but the kick.No need for DC to daylight bandwidth on rack toms,hi-hat etc....if kick bleed is an issue. G

    Try a high pass filter to clean up the rumble. Low pass filter/high cut to clean up hash. Cleans it up before any processing.Rumble will prematurely trigger a compressor. G

    Cryptic eh... 1-2" foam/fiberglass with airspace behind becomes broadband and is just as efficient as say 3-4" material mounted on hard surface. Cost savings can be significant. More likely mom living in my basement at this stage in life. G
