The Peavey Classic 30 is 600 bucks brand new. http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-PEV-00583150.html It's a decent sounding amp. My brother has one collecting dust ever since he bought his Fender Vibrolux. I have the amp you played through, the ValveKing 112. I like it for it's versatility...

Kick Drum mic and PA issues

Do those cabinets have any kind of internal crossover? Also, try changing out mic cables. The sounds you described sound like a bad cable or too much signal. What are your gain settings on your mixer set on? Turn the volume ( the mic and line levels) all the way down on the kick channel and...

    reaper free?

I have CEP 2 and N-track. I switched to Reaper because it has so much less CPU usage. CEP and N-Track bog my computer down with 8 plus tracks, while Reaper is running strong with plenty of CPU usage to spare with 16 tracks so far. It's also the easiest piece of software I've ever used. I've...

Making your own electronic drum set

Check out this kit. Looks like the guy built the frame out of PVC pipe and plumbing connectors, practice pads with piezo triggers. Check out the kick pad. A piece of plywood with a trigger on it. LOL Another one of his kits is located here...

    Down by the River-Collaboration

Wow, they're already hard left and right? I don't have headphones hooked up and in my monitors it sounds like they are more towards the middle. I guess it's the tele with the chorus on it thats blending along with the 12 strings, which are in effect, natural chorus. You might want to play around...

    Down by the River-Collaboration

I always like a good thwack on the snare. Sounds great. You might want to lower the drums 1 or 2 db's. The kick and bass guitar are seperated perfectly. The kick just needs to be lowered a notch to blend along with the overall low end of the bass guitar. 12 string sounds muddy and panned too...

So how does this work? Would I just hook my Roland or Yamaha brain up DIRECTLY to my computer via the MIDI ports? Thanks, Kramer

Help finding elec. drum pads (specific ones)

Right you are. I wonder if I would be able to record drums like this with my Roland or Yamaha Digital drums? If so, I'm going to find me a copy of DKF Superior.
