Weird...I got a notice of your last post but it's not appearing in the thread yet. I'll be damned, I know that every keystroke is important and even so I missed that spelling. :( The style is now working as advertised. Here's the link to the index.html markup...

Well...menu cell sizing. I had them all equal then added some new links to the menu and now they are differents sizes. Can't figure out why or how to control the sizing...it's a small thing really but I'm a control freak. :D I've also had some trouble changing what I want in my CSS...

Fantastic! I've almost got my index.html done. I spent most of yesterday working on it with my html editor. There are still some issues that I'm having trouble with and I'm not sure if it's me missing something or quirks with the editor. This will be a good way to cross check my work and in...

Ok...one last to be clear...the lines as I quoted work for any xhtml page?

Yes...100 more questions but I'll limit it to just a couple to get me kick started. Alley Code automatically generates this first couple of lines... The tutorial said these lines (or similar) were necessary for all markups. I'd be lost as to how to write this up on my own in Notepad...

Guys...much thanks so for all this info. It will take a while for me to absorb it all. I'm ashamed to give you the website. It's been functional but it's really pathetic...totally generated and the real capper was when I got a new wide screen monitor...jeeze! :o I'm starting over from scratch...

Sorry but what is GIMP? I have Notepad and I understand that the writeup can be done there. I think I need more confidence first...right now the html editor with sync view is really helping me.

mjr, Here's some code that I've started as an xhtml document... Questions...where to start? Actually I'm not totally green since with former builds of our website I've had to go to the source page and tweak some. It's given me a little understanding of how it works. A couple of very basic...

Hey... I've been tinkering with my bands website for some time using a drop and drag program. I'm frustrated with the third rate quality of what we have so I've decided to jump in with both feet. I have a html editor (Alley Code) that is very helpful and I have a pretty good book for...

Monitor Display Resolution and Pro Tools???

pezking... Low and behold I changed the setting back to 1366x768 and all is well. It must have been an anomaly...but I though I remembered seeing a post somewhere about just this type problem. I guess that caused me to jump to my conclusion. Thanks for your time...here have a cherry from my...

Monitor Display Resolution and Pro Tools???

I just purchased a new monitor for my computer and tried setting the max resolution for display (1366x768) but PT came up all wacky. I had to go back to 1024x768. Since I also enjoy manipulating graphics I theorized that a greater resolution would produce better graphics. I seek enlightenment...

    PC to Mac transition...

Duh! I think I've had the answer to the transfer issue all along. I use a usb external hard drive for backup. I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be able to store all my necessary data on this and then transfer it to the new machine. Still have the other two questions though....

    PC to Mac transition...

Ok... I'm needing a new puter and I've wanted a Mac for a long time. It seems that the hassle of changing over will be almost the same for either...so why not get what I want? I do have some questions though... 1. Apple doesn't offer "deals" but are there any suggestions on where to get the...

David, Thanks again. I have to work at it pretty hard because it doesn't come easy for me. I got started in music later in life than most so I missed the training in my younger years. I've actually been thinking of voice lessons since I've never had any. Maybe I could learn some techiques...

How do I send echo to only a small part of my vocals?

That's the other work around I had thought of although I haven't automated an aux send yet so I'll have to bone up on it a little first. Yes I've been working with the Masseys for some time. I like em and if I can start getting some money ahead I'll purchase the unrestricted plugs. Thanks....

How do I send echo to only a small part of my vocals?

It's THC and it sounds great on this track through one section. I've thought of a couple of work arounds like duping the track and trimming or muting one for just that section. Do you have an easier solution? So I can't just draw the automation? Oh and I'm assuming from your post that the...

How do I slow down my vocals?

Bama are you talking about slowing down the whole vox or is it more a case of not locking in rhythmically at certain spots in the vox?
