I am a huge fan of Amplitube! I purchased the "Max" bundle for $299 a few months ago and am blown away by its performance. I also purchased the T-Racks Max bundle as well. This was a major upgrade for me. I was using Guitar Rig 5 before Amplitube and to me, there is no comparison. Amplitube...
Hey guys,
It's been awhile since I've posted....you know...life.
Anyway, I've purchased a new studio that is working great for me but I could use some pointers on specific mastering techniques for my style.
What would you guys do: Eq, Stereo Image, Dynamics, Limiting, etc...
I'm just...
I really do appreciate the feedback....and you are 100 percent correct sir....BUT...i have very little time with my occupation. I am on my last day of leave and god only knows when im gonna get time to work on the album again. I wished i had time.....or knew someone who could professionally...
I appreciate your feedback.....but, once again, I am NOT picky....and am ok with flooding the market with more crap!!!! As a matter of fact...I wish it were easier to find more crap like mine....
Tom,
Welcome to the forum!
The behringer preamps are terrible...lets just get that out of the way. What I mean by that is...when you turn the volume up....juuuuussstt a little, it sounds like crap right? The reason for that is a cheap mic pre.
The behringer Mic isn't very good either...
Follow this link and learn what an audio interface is. What mics you need....what a preamp is...etc:

Don't waste your money on that 103 if your strapped for cash.
You can get REALLY good results....but you have...
First off...welcome aboard,
Secondly....although I'm sure there is a way to record over a midi track....it is over my head. It is WAY easier to just set up another Midi track to overlay drum tracks...or leads...etc...
Currently I am using the M-Audio Keystation 49....Anytime that I have tried...
I second this.....save a little more....or sell something you don't use anymore for the extra cash.
You WILL want the direct monitoring capability with the Scarlett....it's hard to record vocals when you can't hear yourself in the headphones!
I would buy a regular PC....for 200...then buy an Audio Interface....after reading everything I could from

1. Check the latency in Sonar.....press F1, "this pulls up the help menu. Then press Ctrl F, "This is a search". Type is Latency in your search....press enter. This will tell you what you need to do to change the latency settings in Sonar....provided it is the same as Sonar 7.
2. Check the...
My vote is for the POD....I love the sound of my XT Live. Also....you can download a crap ton of audio patches/ banks from line 6's website. Once those are downloaded you can tweak them to your liking by using their "monkey"/"Edit" software.
I use the line out on my XT Live....connect it to...
I see absolutely nothing wrong with recording from your line out on your spider. I have the same amp....as well as the POD XT Live. I use my XT Liver, "Mixer" output...which is connected to a line in channel on my Peavey 14 mixer...which is connected to a Delta 1010...then Sonar. I will...
Your mice is just fine, and your preamps on the zoom are probably better than what you might think. I would USE the preamps that are located directly underneath the unit. I'm not sure what your definition of "professional" is....but if your looking for radio quality....unless you have years of...
I second this...This is the same mic that I use and it works just fine. It's more about technique than your mic anyway.
My AKG is plugged into a Peavey 14 mixer....which is then connected to a Delta 1010...then Sonar 7XL. It's good enough for my taste..I'm not a perfectionist.
Hey...I really appreciate the constructive feedback!!! I will fix the website....I don't think I'm going to fix anything with the music....it's good enough for me....I know it's just going to get buried in ITunes anyway.
