You can plug your mic straight into your soundcard but yeah..its not the best way to go..i did it for a year and got 'ok' results but having a mixer is a no-brainer...use it! Track with headphones so you can hear exactly what your putting in and use a simple hi-fi to mix. Your big speakers wont...

Thanks man..but unfortunately i dont have anywhere to store the tracks! I've only got dial-up and nowhere radio is the only place i've got..but i have limited space. Anyone had any ideas on it?

Thanks heaps for the suggestions guys. I think i'll definately get one...i'm sure i'll notice a huge difference compared to my mixer.
