i don't know what that genre is. I consider it "Sing-Along", cuz people are always singing along to it. The lyrics are simple enough to learn in one run through and the melody is fun...=) but honsetly i dunno, some people have heard it and said it sounds oldies, and some say it sounds kinda...

the meters on cakewalk (and waveforms for that matter) on the two respective tracks were close to similar in "size" (general volume). The big noise maker in the room is definently the computer fan whirring...but if that were the case why would the 4track recording that was made in the same room...

mmmk i recorded with soundcard and mixer- silence (golden) soundcard-->mixer-->mic - lots of noise prerecord something on 4track(mixer) with same mic with computer still running then play that to soundcard - not to much noise (essentially eliminatable) wtf!?

thas pretty tight i'm feelin the beat...but where's the BASS. you got a kick, but it's not *really thumpin* =( I like the slapbass, sounds a little like a nelly song (first track on his first big one) but a little more involved. The synthy thing sounds a little loud to me but it's hellacatchy...

yeah...so... There are a few references to (GOOD ASS) plugins for noise reduction on this thread...but, does anyone have any actually experience? ie...anyone know specifically a GOOD ASS noise reduction plugin that they have used and used succesfully?

sure... get some monitors that don't suck. that way, you hear your music sucking when it does suck. tricks and stuff are still valid i guess...course i still mix through headphones cuz i never make beats til i get home and my parents are asleep. but i'm generally pretty happy with my beats...

soundcard... You don't have to buy a new soundcard. ^spin (i dunno how to "quote") but uhhh...my experiences with laptops and recording is that you DO need a "pro" soundcard or you get backround noise out the anus. Dealing with very nice (expensive anyways) dells and compaqs, recording a track...

first song i think the first song is tiiiiiight. I really like the beat and the "backround" singer. Personally....the chorus kinda gets shot when the mc talks "ya'll just don't understand..." I guess there's a point to what he's saying but it really looses the groove, maybe cuz the beat drops...

first off, how the fuck do you spell the action of recording a sound with a micrphone? micing, miking, kigeing, whatever) Ok. I'm not asking a question about HOW to mic a guitar (amp) but rather, if it really needs to be done. Until recently, miking an amp was pretty much out of the question...
