Looking for guitar mutli fx - NOT amp modelers

Crazy! I bought a G-Major not long after my post in this thread. I've been using it ever since. I love it! Not every effect in the G-Major is killer... for instance I haven't been able to get a phaser sound I really like. But other than that I really don't have any complaints... it's a great...

    Rhcp

Yep... and if you want to really hear what he can do on guitar, listen to his solo stuff. He likes to use chords with lots of intervals. I read an interview with him not too long ago that said he was going to writing more harmonically complicated stuff for the Chili Peppers (I'm assuming for the...

Sir Psycho is the ringtone on my cell! LOL! I still listen to BSSM and One Hot Minute fairly often. I rarely listen to the others. I've been a Chili Peppers fan since Mother's Milk. I think One Hot Minute was awesome but alot of fans hate it. I thought Navarro was a good fit and there are...

    Suggestions For Micing Ampeg 8x10...

I doubt this would be a problem for a kick mic, but you might need a pad on the SD condenser.

    Suggestions For Micing Ampeg 8x10...

Haha... I didn't even read that before I posted. I stumbled on to this trick a couple years ago because all I had available was a kick mic and a SD condenser. I really like using both (and DI). The kick mics I've used capture the low-end nicely but seem kind of flabby. The SD condenser seems to...

    Suggestions For Micing Ampeg 8x10...

Throw whatever mics you have on it and see what you like. Every mic gives you something a little different. The last bass tracks I recorded, I used an ATM-25, a small diaphram condenser (Rode NT5) and a direct signal all mixed together. If you have enough inputs, you should run a direct...

    Hey Ethan... nice video!!

I realize this is OT, but I'm not sure if Ethan peruses the other forums. Anyway, I was reading the Clicked blog on MSNBC (scroll down about a page) like I usually do and I see a link for "One song, 37 parts, one cellist." Sounds pretty cool. So I click the link and there's our favorite...

    How much?????

It really depends on the venue-- each one is different. Some like to pay a flat fee, some like to give you the door (or a percentage of the door). I've played a club that has several "clubs" (dance club, martini bar, sports bar, live music room, etc.) in one building and they pay the band a...

New Tube Amp - Stupid Question

My amp is easy. The Standby switch is labled: "Rest" and "Go"

    recording distorted guitars?

Turn down the gain, turn up the mids, use multiple mics, and record multiple takes (2 or more). Those things helped me get guitar tones that I like. YMMV.

    Budda Amps??

Haha... wow. Three years. Time flies. Yep, definitely proud Budda owner. I may by more amps, but I'll have this amp for life.

At least their motto is cool... Man with bad tone laughs alone.

    Got a new tube amp!

    Sweet amps... I'm not a 900 hater... I always liked em. I'd take one over a JCM2000.

Cool... I'll have to check those out because I think I just convinced myself that what I want is definitely a Fuzz pedal. Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet... :D. Oh the fun!!

Cool. That's kind of what I expected and why I bought the Fuzz box instead. I'm looking for a radical departure in sound from my amp's distortion... hehe. While I wouldn't call the Super Fuzz a "radical departure," I can dial in some tones that are quite a bit different from my amp's distortion...

    Got a new tube amp!

Here's my amp. Budda Superdrive 30W 2x12. Love it. Sorry for the terrible blurry camera phone pic. I paid $1600 for it around three years ago. They are a little more expensive now.

    Got a new tube amp!

+1 :D Haha! You've been pretty annoying with all your posts about wanting just a 5% improvement over your Behringer amp. I'm glad you've seen the (tube) light! Now go record something.

Hey soundchaser59, congrats on the new amp dude! I guess you'll have to change your username now, huh? :D How do you like that Sparkle Drive? I just got a Voodoo Labs Super Fuzz yesterday. I *love* the distortion I get from my amp (Budda Superdrive 30W 2x12), but I wanted some different...
