I'm mastering a great Canadian country duo called Madison Violet at the moment.

How you been Rami? Not been on here much recently.

Very true, :) but we can comment on the end product which may help him somewhat. :)
The fade in at the start is bad, too abrupt for a fade in (if you even meant there to be a fade in).
Overall not much "wrong" with the sound, but the lo-fi sound seems to lye in the recordings.
Did you Di the...
Sounds good, the kick needs more slap and more compression, boost the high mids and cut some of the low mids to get more slap.
Toms sound nice. Good drumming.

Almost all Mixes I get sent for me to Master, are in definite need of Mastering in my opinion. A lot of the time it is small changes I make, 1dB cut here, 1dB boost here, a few dB compression etc, but it really does make a huge difference in the final product and thus well worth paying for. All...
Some of them are a pile of bullsh*t and are taking advantage of gullible people unfortunately.
That being said there are many honest professionals on the web, me being one of them.
Just be wary of ones that just don't seem right.

Haha, nice one. That could be the reason why the cymbals are so dam loud maybe. :)
What headphones are you using?
Why are you not using any monitor speakers?

Overall the Mix ia a tad muddy, cymbals far too loud, Bring out the kick and snare more with high mid boost and low mid cuts.
Sounds pretty good for how you recorded it!!

Sounds good. Timing out as already mentioned.
The thing that is making this Mix lack is the bass guitar. The bass tone is nothing great really, I'd try re-recording the bass, trying to get some more low end in recording and some more presence.
even try bringing the bass up louder in the mix and...
I like the sound of the guitars in the 2nd version. Nice tone.
I like the low end warmth you have in the drums, obvisouly you would be low cutting and sopping a littel low mids at Mix down.
Drums need to come out more, they do sound pretty darn thin and fake. Sounds like you have cut all the low...
The mud sounds seems to be in the bass, I would probably go and re-record the bass as it is cheapening the Mix. The low mids sound dull and lifeless on the bass.
Get them drums upfront! Especially for this style of music, you want your drums right up front by using compression (don't be afraid...
This means you are not used to your monitors (and how they translate to other systems) and/or your room is not treated well.
Maybe get new monitors and maybe try treating your room.

No probs, glad to help out where I can, this song is good (love the overall vibe) and the Mix has potential.
Was almost looking forward to a new Mix there until I properly read your post. My bad I suppose :D
Look forward to a new Mix.
