    drumheads

Depends on the kit (Mahogany, birch or maple) and if you know how to tune the drum. Make sure the drum head is seated on the shell evenly before you tighten the head. I usually make a fist and push down in the center of the drum head then tighten it really tight. Then I can tune to pitch. This...

    Heavy metal drums?

I think that if you're a good drummer and you can tune a good kit, then you don't need triggers. I hate them. What ever happened to individuality anyway?

    remo coated emperor drumheads

The bottom black dot muffles it a little bit. It mostly makes it a little bit stronger there in the middle. I've used clear heads on the snare before and there's nothing wrong with it. I used a clear Pinstripe on my Ludwig Acrolite once and it sounded pretty good. I also like looking through the...

    remo coated emperor drumheads

Actually, An Emperor is two Diplomats. The Diplomat is one .07 ply and the Emperor is two .07 plys together. An Ambassador is a single .1 ply. I've torn an Emperor and just ripped the top layer off of it to finish rehearsal. It works unless you're a hard hitter. I actually like the Remo...

Best Solo Ever (No Nirvana allowed, Or Dave Grohl)

Oh, You're just jealous because someone like Cobain could take something so simple and make every kid in America buy their records. I know he was a sloppy guitarist but hey, but nobody's heard of you! Sadly, It doesn't matter how good you are. It's just a matter of being at the right place...

What drums to buy for recording.

I think it was PCP (Practice, Constant Practice!)

What drums to buy for recording.

That's a great set up size wise. Very versatile. I agree with Tim, the shallower toms sound better and have a more defined sound than "power toms."

What drums to buy for recording.

For rock, At least a 22" kick drum and 16" floor tom. As for cymbals, the Sabian AA's are alot like the Zildjian A's and The Piaste 2002's are nice cymbals but brighter than the A's or AA's.

    Ride size???

A Zildjian A 21" Sweet ride is a good choice and is very versatile. I have a Zildjian 24" Medium ride that i like. 20" Zildjian A Custom rides are cool too but they're more of a crash cymbal. Sometimes, you can hit 4 different cymbals of the same exact model and they'll all sound different. The...

Tele Neck - Rosewood or Maple???

Telecaster and Maple is the way to go IMO. A Strat can go either way.

    Bubinga drum shells

Ain't it the truth brother?! It's like all these classic rock bands that write new songs and release new albums and nobody cares! Take AC/DC for example. Know one wants to hear new shit, Everyone wants to hear "Hells Bells" "Highway To Hell" "YSMANL" "TNT" "Let There Be Rock" "Back IN Black"...

    Tama Superstar Custom

I agree. I hate cheater pedals. I currently have a 14, 16, 18, 24 setup but I want a 26" kick drum. I love the big kick drums. although, the 15, 18, 20 tom set up is pretty fucking cool too!

Effects in Loop vs Effects in Input

Or, you could use No effects!!! Just think, one cable from the guitar to the amplifier. It can't be much simpler than that.

    jcm 900 or 2000 ???

The Jcm 2000 are better sounding than the 900s but they're still troublesome amps. You should take RXqueens advice and try a Laney head. The're good sounding heads and have lots of distortion that you might like. The JCM 800s are a better amp however they don't have the gain you're looking...

    Superstar

I have an old Superstar 18" floor tom like yours but it is Green laquer. I wish I had your natural 18". I bought it on Ebay for $75 and it came with a case. it's in great shape. You might find a 16" on ebay eventually. Those old Superstars are nice drums.
