I know, you're right, I know she'll kill me, I know i'll be totally broke, exactly £130.00 short of surviving the month. I need headphones, you know mine broke, well I now have to sit at the computer desk to watch fucking tv! with earphones in with a 0.5m cable
Beyerdynamic DT100 or AKG K272 HD
Bear in mind that I will be using these to record, but also for all other music listening purposes, i.e plaines trains etc and nightly tv watching while the missus is asleep...what do you think?
indeed.
I am building a studio, i was recording some stuff today with my cheap ass sony headphones and they snapped.
Im building a studio with a modest budget, not a luxury thing at all, these headphones are next day delivery, I just don't want total shit
Denon AH-D301 or AKG K514
Both £34.99 on this website with next day delivery, of couse I wanted some £114 beyerdynamic dt100's but my girlfriend advised against it...so which of these MODESTLY PRICED headphones would be best
k
I had a crazy idea of recording like you once, to get a 'live sound' and be 'different' you could do that, and have the amps and p.a's all pointed in 1 direction, and have the condenser mic at the other side of the room turned down very low, would still sound awful though, compared to a...
wow
I kinda like this, it sounds so black metal its unbelivable, Varg Vikerness would be very proud to call this his own, but its not the sound you want.
Download Cubase SE - probably free if you look hard enough. I don't remember payin..
Record each instrument one at a time, or direct input...
unfortunatly
Without a pre amp with phantom power you can't test it, I assume its a real condenser not one of those gay usb ones...I have almost the same problem, I have a pre amp and have tested it, but can't use my reel to reel till my godamn mixer gets here.
apparently
The best thing to do is to point your preferably dynamic mic at one of the cones at a 45 degree angle, and obviously face the pickups away from the amp when you play
well you see er..
Me and a friend of mine achieved just what you're looking for, we used his 5150 guitar amp with low bass and a little gain, used a sm57 pointed directly at the cone of the top right speaker, sounded awesome.
ITS LITERALLY THE ONLY HUMAN WAY ONE CAN create SUCH A SOUND!
:drunk:
Any really cheap quick and easy tips that would improve a voice without paying a lot of money.
I think Tom Jones said he just chews menthol throat lozanges 24/7
Thats an awesome piece of information to have, like, after years of proffessionalism most artists must crave that raw sound they had when they started out
.
Do you have any of your edgy recordings available for a listen?
At what point in recording does it go from 'edgy' to 'amateur'
Due to my financial situation im well aware that my recordings are going to sound very different to mainstream stuff, but I want to make that a selling point.
Anybody else had any ideas like this or know of any bands who do this on...
What I normally end up doing is writing like...3 lines of a song, recording an awesome track to sing it over..and I can't take it any further. And the song just plays like an instrumental track after about 30 seconds.
I read in an article about blues songs that repetition is key, but this just...
well you see er..
Perhaps some soothing cowbell musak would calm my nerves and ease my desperation.
or perhaps what I really need is a good hard shag.
singing lessons needed
Me and my girlfriend both aggreed you have a great tone to your voice, you could sing like dave grohl..and we all know how well he's doing, you really need vocal coaching to help you control it, could be very powerful.
