Let me tell you guys what I have. HP Laptop Acid Pro or Mixcraft M-audio Mobile pre I assume that the mobile pre will not power any monitors, so I would need to buy and amp. Am I right?

Would my computer monitors work? Right now I have Harmon/Kardon, two small desktop with a subwoofer on the floor. They sound pretty good, just wondering how much of a difference real studio monitors would be.

What is the difference between powered monitors and non powered. What powers the non powered ones (my pc). And which ones are generally better to use? Im not sure if I should get monitors or just some really good headphones.

This is what I started with and how it looks now. I am not sure what to do with the bare wall. Also, Nick you can see the rigid fiberglass before I covered it.

I will post pictures if someone can tell me how to make them small enough to be uploaded. It say they need to be 64k of smaller, they are no where near that.

I have covered one wall in rigid fiberglass along with bass traps in the corners. I just want to put a few panels on the other walls. Was thinking I should use something like the egg crate or some sort of foam.

I need a few egg crate foam panels to finish my studio, mainly just to break up sound a little. I just want to place one here or there. Can anyone tell me where I might find them or what would work best. I went to Walmart but they just sell the flat now, no more egg crate.
