for recording drums and vocals...is the compressor and equalizer on the br-8 okay? i dont need every little detail but on drums i would like a nice snappy snare, a big kick and nice clean not trash canny cymbals...on the vocals im looking for a nice smooth tone...with out any really high or loud...

i just added a big bottom to my rack for my guitar...it sounds awesome, lots of lowend chunk..but with it i got lots of hiss, almost like a distortion...and i was seeing what rackmounts for noise elimination you guys would suggest? not to expensive just to eliminate the major hiss. thanks

i'm looking for a pair of passivce monitors for 200 bucks that wont color my sound too drstically so after i master and put the cd in a different player of on headphones it sounds totally different that what it should sound....im looking at Haffler M5-2 for $99 each KRK K-Rok a pair for $200...

im saying the beta 52 kuz a friend of mine who is really good in home recording said its good because placement doesnt really matter to get a good sound and its for rock kick drums

the shure beta 52...i was just about to buy when i saw the CAD for sale on musicinas friend.....i remember hearing people posting about a CAD and saying its a good mic...but im not sure if this is the same model or not and want to get inputs on how it compares to the beta 52

i was thinking of getting a beta 52 but i saw a cad for 50 and thats like 100 bux less than a beta and i heard some good things about cad dont know if it was this model or what but please give me your input

both....so we can play the drums even when its later at night kuz my studios not 100% soundproof (more like 90), and also for recording....so when guitars are playing along with the drums drums dont leak into other mics and other instrumets dont leak into the drum mics

i'd like a drum shield but i dont want to spend like 250 bucks on one from musiciansfriend....can i just buy plexiglass from home depot or someplace and put on hinges............or would this not block as much sound?? what im saying...is, is there an advantage to buying their drum shield or...
