I feel bad laughing at his ignorance but this is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Check out the quality on "circle with a line through it" setting! HAHAHAHAH

Thanks, the guitars I blended the recorded with di through amplitube so it didn't sound so fake, and just messed with the blending and plug ins till it sounded fat.
Very cool song I think of Clutch when I listen to the vocals, unfortunately the recording is squashed to hell and the bass is basically useless so not much anyone is going to be able to do to thicken it back up without mud. Here's what I came up with in about 45 minutes...
,updated mix, Remixed the whole freaking song at the correct sample rate but since I spent so long on it last night I like the fast one better!:-)

And here's what it sounds like when you mix it for 3 hours in 48k without realizing it was recorded in 44.1 and didn't listen to any reference tracks. FML

Gutars are sitting on top of the drums and everything is squashed to hell. back off on the bus compression limiting and lets hear what that sounds like.
Also put soundcloud in square brackets followed buy /soundcloud in square brackets around your soundlink link to make it clickable in the forum like this https://soundcloud.com/zoelvazra/across-the-univ-new-mix-1
Smaller reverb and put some on the guitar, then add some air to the vocals...a little high shelf should do it, probably need a de esser after after you do that.
Run a tight Q EQ boost across those vocal tracks and find that anoying freq and then cut it, I'm guessing around 600-1200Hz. Also there's distortion in the vocals in spots. Make one of your vocal doubles a background vocal and pull it down and give it some funky eq treatment then blend it back in.
Exactly! I replace shitty recorded accoustic drums with samples all the time and no one has ever said anything as long as your sample replacements have some slight velocity and hit changes.
