Very very good man!
I'm using sub-par equipment too and my tunes are comin out ok.
Like above the vocals distort a little probably just the mic's fault and agreed you don't need the best equipment if you can use what you have well!

Hi guys,
I'm currently comparing my mixes to a few big bands CD's.
I find the have a bigger space in which all the instruments reside.
mines aint far off but I could do with a little extra for the mix to breath.
Anyone got any ideas how I can do this?
Cheers, Muzza.
I like this tune!
Great vocals, guitars sound good overall the mix is a little thin.
Have you mastered this? seems a bit thin needs a bit of sparkle the drums are a bit dry.
The song structure is good.

Plenty of pitch problems and some timing issues on vocals.
Unfortunately one off the riffs is way too similar to a black label society riff lol (think it may be Concrete Jungle)
Otherwise good sounding guitars, drums need a bit more work maybe more use of cymbals.
Not my taste even tho i'm a...

Much better man, you need to sort the kick drum out make it clearer!
It's a bit Avenged Sevenfold at the main lead line! Good stuff.
You can here a bit of background hiss on a couple of tracks so tidy that up but sounds better man! :)
Muzza
The clean stuffs good but the dirty guitars are too muffled which is a shame.
you really need some good drums tho man those sound poor! :)
Bass is good better than I can get lol
Are those dirty guitars mic'd??
Muzza.
Rodd, Yup REAPER does indeed work with Windows 7 i'm running it on 7 at the moment. Although just to note, it seems that the 32bit REAPER is more stable than the 64bit version??
Don't ask why, but that's my experience. Download both versions and see which is more stable. :)

Definitely give this a shot! thanks Ray!
Haha Behringer, I'm gathering from a few post that they get a bad rap here I'll have a look at the BDI21. I used the UX1 Toneport is that not effectively a DI??
Cheers, Muzza
I won't mention the drums again lol
What did you use for the guitar sounds? That's an excellent tone for that style of music really like the song and sound overall! :)
