    pawn shoppin for bass

    I used to use a cry baby in the 70's. Everybody thought it sounded tits. I don't use any pedals today... I guess it sounds better these days without. Even while recording I seldom apply any effects to the bass. Bass thru a guitar amp? Not a good idea. :)

    Clipping during playback

    You can specify where your TEMP folders are at: OPTIONS/SETTINGS, click on the the SYSTEM tab. Make sure your recovery drive is not listed there. You may need to adjust the total buffer size and or the number of buffers used (options located in the same tab as above) to eliminate clippy/choppy...

    For us poor guys

    We have actually played this one live to an audience of trees. We rented two gas generators and played on a flatbed in the middle of the woods. Nobody remembered to bring OFF, and the bugs were hell. Some people found us, but we had to call it quits when a thunderstorm rolled in.

    You know I have listened to a lot of stuff here and can say a good portion of the tunes I hear are like pro CD quality recordings - like the guys have *a lot* of toys at home. I have a pc, a sound interface, a mic, a bass, and some guitars. And a harp. So I might sound crappy compared to others...
