I got a Behringer Composer Pro-XL Compressor

Its true, thats all basically Kayne using. Read that too in a magazine. Only thing I'm thinking is, where does he get his drum kits? I got an mpc2000xl, but can't find some decent drum kits I like. Drum kits I like to use would sound like- Dame Grease, Kayne West, or Just Blaze.

I currently have a 200.00 Stageworks condensor mic preamped to a tube mp, and a compressor.However, after a year or working with it, i'm looking to upgrade. Recording will be strickly for hiphop and some R&B. My price range for a mic is 600- 800, and preamp 300. Anyone recording for hiphop here...

I'm trying to record on Cakewalk, but i does not record. My mic works, when i test it out i hear the sound on my soundcard. I made sure my soundcard is selected,and tested. I did go to options to 16 bits. I made sure its not in midi, etc. I press record and all i get is the green bar empty...
