I've been reading a lot on how to get the "wall of sound" in my recordings, and I've heard a lot that every instrument in the mix should be given it's own "punchy" spot in the EQ spectrum, moving out other instruments from that area to create as little overlapping as possible.
With this in...
Yeah, I totally hear you orion. Yesterday I managed to get it to start recording where I selected the cursor because i clicked a bunch of buttons on top (namely snap-enabling buttons) and it would record exactly where I set it to start. But then, I saved and came back later and the problem was...
My problem is that when I want to record a new track at the end of the song, I have to sit through the whole song till I get to that part where I want to start recording that track. Is there a way to start recording right where you select it? I know it's possible because it used to be like that...
Recently, I've read a lot of discussions from home-recording-related forums, and have come to the conclusion that one of the biggest factors involved in achieving the famous "wall of sound" in a recording is the correct placement of every instrument in the EQ Spectrum (correct me if it's not...
I would REALLY love to hear a sample of holophonic sound.
It's something really interesting, and it makes me sad that I hadn't heard of it till now either. Has the technique been used in any record? If not, I can't believe people haven't explored the field of holophony.
I have a small amp that sounds considerably less than the drums when my drummer plays softly. It really sucks, and it's knocking me off 'cause I want to start playing live concerts with my band.
What do I need?
I'm talking *small*, 15-20 max people concerts in my backyard and stuff like that...
Since I have Amplitube, does anybody here that uses it knows of a preset (or a set of configs) to reach a blink182ish distortion sound starting from a clean guitar?
Btw, I know that only amplitube won't get me there, but does anybody know of a preset that amplitube can pull off that'll get me...
Is there any way I could get my guitar to sound like blink182's new album?
I don't think they use much distortion, but I don't know where to get the sound from. I have amplitube and adobe audition. If there's some way to get it to sound like that, i'll be FOREVER grateful! I don't really like...
Thanks for posting crankz1!!
I have Acid Pro and Adobe Audition, but I don't know the exact folder to put the VST plugins of "SimulAnalog Guitar Suite" OR how to make use of them *once* inside the program. Thanks soo much!!
First off, thanks for replying!
Secondly, I plugged the guitar to the pedal, and the pedal to my computer. I plugged it into the computer's "mic" slot, because if I plug it to the "line in," the sounds will only be heard on the left speaker. I've heard that using some sort of "Y" cable (which I...
I can record acoustic stuff fine into my computer. However, when it comes to recording distortion, it sounds really effy and it doesn't give you the BANG that you find in other popular punk bands.
I was wondering if I could record direct box (I think that's directly into the computer) with the...
I have a guitar, a computer with Acid Pro and Adobe Audition.
I also have a small, normal-sounding amplifier that can control the
guitar's "treble," "middle," and "bass" output sounds. It also has a knob that
says "presence," which kind of adds to the guitar's "trebly" sounds.
