Yet another good song.
Don't think the breathing is distracting, just the pop as mentioned - the licking lips, if that's what that is.
Maybe add a scream/whine/yell singing the lyrics in the background in the last chorus. Heh heh. Just joking ... or am I?
An additional instrumental sequence...
Great song, man.
I don't think the arrangement is too busy at all. Maybe it doesn't build in the more traditional sense, but that's OK.
Only thing is, Cher spoiled that vocal modifier with her hit song 5 or so years back. It actually sounds cool, but she's all I think of when I hear it.
Your...
I guess hearing can get better in a couple days, or maybe that's the perception. But VERY loud and frequent noise will obviously damage it forever.
I'd look into the hypnosis, audiologists, ear plugs and everything else. It's worth it. I get angry when my ears ring after a show. Ironically...
Well, the 60 + Minutes isn't a problem, it's the size of the files. Together, what I want to put on a CD is about 750 MBs. This is audio, straight tracks.
And from what I have seen looking on the internet, the 90 Minute, 800 MB blank CD-Rs only write at X12.
Is this gonna sound considerably...
First of all, what is the best brand and type of CD to burn on?
Secondly, how many of you have ever had the problem of running out of space to fit your whole album on a regular 80 Min, 700MB CD?
I have about 66 minutes worth of music. It is 16 bit wav. format and comes in at about 750 MB. I...
Well, a few days ago I saw a link to your site from a reply you had made and by the criticism you made in that post I figured you were somewhat seasoned. So I listened to Southern Road. I really liked it. I never listen to anything like that. The recording sounded flawless to me. I'd have a...
well, there's the bass and guitar intro, then the drums start.
it sounded normal quality until then. but you can really tell the low quality of the guitar and drums, but I'm sure you know this.
When I look into your eyes...
Not the kinda song I was expecting from the look of the website.
Not my kinda music either.
But the production seemed basically flawless from my opinion. I thought the balance between the male and female vocals was good too.
it's just not really groundbreaking music.
damn, once the guitar and drums hit, the song just fell apart production wise. I don't know, the instruments are way too quiet unless you want a pop song.
As far as techniques go, I have no idea. But the track has a real "crisp" or treble-y feel to it. Maybe you could just play the guitar with more distortion or add a distorted filter to it. I think most musicians would say if they want a really good guitar track, they would play the same riff...
I did like this song, but personally, I wouldn't have mixed it this way.
But that depends on what you're going for. This has kind of a psychedelic or The Doors feel to it.
I listened on head phones and honestly, I would change about everything, but then it'd be a different song. For the tone...
Hello.
I'm new to the world of recording. And cheap. Right now all I want to do is record some guitar on my computer. I have a 410 Delta M Audio soundcard. I was hoping to use one of the analog cables hooked up directly to the guitar line, so I wouldn't need to buy an actual mixer.
They...
I had a friend build the whole pc, so I never handled the actual sound card. Is it possible that I "broke" it when I was hooking up the synthesizer to its outputs? I was randomly putting cables together.
But not only does the soundcard not work, there is no sound from the pc's default sound...
I meant once the file is finished, exporting or converting the file to be burned onto a CD. Cool Edit seems to have a problem converting to wma files for some reason. So what would be the highest quality program to get a wav file from Cool Edit to another format suitable for burning to CD?

I like to use Cool Edit Pro, and I don't know if it's just me, but when I try to save the file as a wma file, it is unable to do so and says the file is already in use, which doesn't make any sense . . .
but, since wav. files are so big, I was just wondering what different programs people...
Well, I guess there's either a really easy answer to this or not.
I just assembled a new computer with a Delta 410 sound card. About a week into using it, I tried to connect my keyboard (synth) to it. Now there is no sound at all from the computer.
I reinstalled the Delta drivers.
There are...
