How many bands has your drummer's mother had a hand in naming? For that matter, how many bands has this woman played in at all? The fact that she didn't like it may tell you that you're on to something...Name your band whatever you (the band) want to call yourselves. When your music is good...
Now that I'm ready to make some musical embarassments, I don't want to make audio ones. Please help with this question: When I connect a little Mackie 1202 to a Delta 66 breakout box, do I want to use balanced cables always? The Delta will accept balanced or un-, and I truly don't understand...
Can you guys tell me...is there any time where you would not want to use balanced cables? And also, why? I'm talking about all the connections: mixer to amp, soundcard/breakout box to mixer, etc. Thanks.
Obvious question to you maybe, but are you sure you're hitting 0 or just under on ALL your master output volume controls(software mixers/burning program included)?

Hey Pablo........I don't use fruity loops, but you might want to check here, they have a forum dedicated to fruity loops, with a lot of people who are seriously into the program and thus know what they're talking about:

Hope you have some luck.
Hey bnoji.......something like what you're talking about would help me out too. I know that there's more than one way to route some things in the signal chain, but I want to know what the most efficient ways are, that leave me the most options. Maybe someone will help us out, just hold on to yer...
Hey thanks, Mr. Hornet........yeah, I just want quality, so 's I don't have to buy 'em again when I learn what I'm doing. I don't need the best or the worst, know what I mean? Thanks for posting a reply.....I'm gettin' closer now.
Hey to all.......What type of cables do I need for connecting mixer to soundcard/breakout box, and mixer to power amp? I know they are all 1/4" connectors, but what guage/brand/etc? I know I need shielded cables, and I know I don't want to use regular guitar cables, but that's all I have to go...
Hey......instead of ditching the Behringer, why don't you use it as a sub-mixer for the drums? Then you can get a better board for your main one, and everyone lives happily ever after.
Hey Mojotooth.....I'm about to get my little "geek" studio together. Man, all I can say is what a great time to be a geek. I can be a freak and a geek at the same time. Welcome.
Hey Mugsy, you might want to try this different forum...maybe they could talk specific amp models/speaker cabs, and give you more concrete advice. Good luck.

Hey Mugsy, this probably won't help much, but here is a quote from a guy who's been in the business for years.I was asking a similar question, and this is what he said:
"Okay, first, NO MATTER WHAT they tell you in 'The WIZ' you can NEVER 'overpower' a passive monitor!!I'd use the highest...
Thanks Gidge. For all the research I've been doing, I seem to be narrowing it down with help from you all. Now I'm leaning toward the Delta 66 w/ the omni box. Thanks again.
Hey to all.....I'm real new to this forum as you can see. I have looked around this and other forums before posting this question. Here goes: I have a SB Platinum, but want a more dedicated card for audio rec. and software. I will be using a Mackie 1202, and a decent yet small monitoring setup...
