You can buy female - female socket, signal splitters etc, it would be more cost effective if you went down this road.

These are all cheaper more afordable compressors that are based on the famous DBX 160 compressor. Which was noted as a great vocal compressor.

I've got the 166XL, it's great for the price, good for everything basically.

I use horrid roland DS-9s they hiss like buggery, i hate roland but still buy their products. I'm dum. Who puts the power switch at the back of a studio monitor? That's probably why they hiss, i can't be bothered going round the back to use the stupid hard to get to round-the-back power switch...
