Do you have clips of drums that you have recorded using triggers? I am thinking about doing this, but want to know if you have troubles with the triggers (missing beats, or double beats). Did you use accoustic cymbals or electric ones?

Roland supposidly makes really good ones, but I don't know if you would call them cheap!

Sorry to hear you are having problems again It sounds to me like you might want to call Aardvark tech support and send it away to get fixed. Unfortunetly, you are probably done recording for a while :(

You can reinstall the operating system without wiping everything else. Just pop your cd in and re-install it. I have done this lots of times and all your software will still work...but be warned, that I would make a backup just in case:D

Is this the first time you have seen this error? I know that reinstalling windows 2000 should solve your problem...but that seems like overkill.

The error you are getting is a windows related thing, it seems. Update your windows 2000 (start->windows update)
