i went to a vocational high school for four years focusing on computer networking and technology and through that got a job with Geek Squad. I can tell you that all the people i work with have no certification and just do what they do because they love to do it. most of them go to school for it...
no where did i say what do you use to make yourself not sound like a noob.
every guitar player has a rig and it's always good just to see what someone else uses if you're looking for the samething. no bitchassness intended brah
So looking through the couple pages of this section of the forum, I have yet to see anything about what all of us guitar/bass players have in the our rigs.
So there you go: What cha got!
The reason behind this is I just rreally started playing full on again after going through a 4 month mental...
I've used the line 6 toneports and they all seem to work fine. just moved up to a presonus firestudio project but thats firewire though since the toneports lacked the 'tone'
so not to stray from the question at hand but i read in another mixing forum that as far as getting a stereo image of vocals you should dub a second track versus just copy, click, drag.
So here's my problem:
I bought a firestudio project that came with LE4 but I've been using Reaper for the past year or so.

I want Mindset's job! I'm still young ya know and trying to find out where to go with my career. The IT field is good and I'm currently working in IT and going to college for it. But it's kind of like a cinderellla story (no homo!) because I wish I could find a sick job in the music business...
YESSS the GH100TI. I've been waiting awhile to hear some decent recordings using that head. i was considering getting that one myself but was turned away from the distortion only settings ( at least i think that's why)
by the way: thanks for using LANEY!! it seems to be a rare thing to see one...
Yea! I saw Black sabbath a few years back at ozzfest and I saw tony playing and was just like "how does everything just change without a pedal?!"
that explains that. sounds like you have quite the visionary my friend. as someone just starting in this field people like you inspire me to just go...
I'd have to agree with the majority that pedals are the way to go. I can't see how using plugins for live applications could even be practical, just more of a hassle.
I started out on a little digitech multieffect pedal and it was good times. In time though I grew out of that tone and moved to...
