    Care to critique this mix

Okay I'll turn up the vocals, and the mids on them, and take some reverb off the snare and post it back after.

    Care to critique this mix

http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/7/20/2515908/Just%20Us.mp3 I'm pretty happy with what I have now, but I'd like to see what some more experienced people have to say. I'm a little iffy with the vocals, too loud/too quiet? I might just be paranoid.

    Drum Midi's.

Drum Vst's. I record my acoustic drum kit standard with all the mics and stuff. But for one song I want my kit to sound electric-ish. Is there a vst that I could apply to certain drums that would make them sound more like a digital beat used in hip hop ect.

    Some new stuff

http://llucass.sitesled.com/SERIOUSJEREMYSONG.mp3 This is near the final mix. There are strings in there at the middle and end. I'm thinking of turning down the vocals a bit on the first part (before the mellow part), any suggestions?

    Some new stuff

This is the staircase we recorded the vocals in, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yl1_iCOF40 So maybe I shouldn't have experimented with different places lol.

    Some new stuff

This is a poppy song with a cool mellow part in the middle. We recorded one of the lead vocal tracks in a very echoey staircase at my school. Just hauled a couple stands, mics, firepod, laptop in there one night. It's fun experimenting with different places...

    WHat's your favorite midi VSTi?

Hey man. I'm trying to get my midi vst's to work on audition. Can you give me some tips. I can record midi, but the vst's aren't working, all I'm hearing is the original piano notes. And I've got Edirol Orchestral I heard its great for strings.

Hooking up my keyboard to my computer for Midi use

Now that you mentioned it, yes, it picks up the notes when I record. Then it plays back through my speakers and my keyboard. It doesn't apply the vst plugin though. And I can't hear it playing back through my speakers live (with the plugin) while I record.

Hooking up my keyboard to my computer for Midi use

I've got an old yamaha keyboard. (Yamaha PSR 172). We've been using it for strings over our songs, but I would just mic it being lazy lol. It has a midi output and input. So today I bought some midi cables hoping to start recording strings a more proper way. I use a Presonus Firepod as an...

    Track Loudness

Alright I'll try some things. I'm not sure how to arrange things into a "bus" in audition though. Btw guys, its not a wav file, its mp3 lol. Wav is just in the name for some reason.

    Track Loudness

Lol, I barely know what I'm doing. This is what I've got so far, its pretty rectangle ish and disastrous. Hopefully you guys can give me some more tips from here. Btw, I haven't quite finished mixing the vocals yet so they're a bit loud at times. http://llucass.sitesled.com/gsong%20wav.mp3 :(

    Track Loudness

Yes, I'm well aware of the loudness wars. I love dynamics and all, but I need one of my tracks to be nice and loud for something. At the loudest chorus theres something like 3 guitars (4-5 tracks), drums (6 tracks), 4-5 vocals (4-5 tracks) bass, and handclaps lol. It's probably not as packed as...
