My Halion SE will record for between 30- 90 seconds then all sound stops. It stops accepting any input from my midi keyboard. The keyboard on the Halion screen will still play the notes but to get external input, I have to go to Midi/ reset. Then I'm good for anther 30 seconds or so. I have...

Agreed! You ought to read the Groove Agent SE manual (I mean paragraph). Try recording GA se with that manual and you will definitely have the urge to kill. :rolleyes:

I agree with one of your points. When told to read the manual, the assumption is made that you are lazy or using pirated software. But the reality is some manuals are so poorly written that they border on incomprehensible. That being said, the manual is your first stop. If you still have...

I use Cubase SE on a 1.8 G5 with a Delta 1010lt card and the only problems I have are usually in the setup interaction between Cubase, The 1010 card and OSX which are all resolved with experience and the manuals. All work very well and are extremely stable.

The SE drums sound good, but I've yet to get them to do anything other than make a sound when I strike a keyboard note. Not useful for a track. I think others like yourself have figured out to make them useful, I'm still trying. Thanks! :rolleyes:

Thank you guys for your responses. I was able to export a pattern to an audio file. The lack of any visual recording was what threw me off. This is GA SE so there is no midi capability at all. If these folks you know are doing it using the SE version, I would like to know about it. I think they...

Since GA SE does not output midi, has anyone actually recorded a track? The forum posts I read seem to indicate its possible, but no one seems to be able to communicate how and the SE manual is the worst. One post says "you simply export the audio mixdown". How do you do that when you can't even...

For my needs, its a very good recording software. It's very stable and comes with features beyond its price imho! Its sound quality is excellent. :p
