    New MP3. Please listen.

Liked the tune, but didn't like the statistics. It pulled me out of the mood you got going, but others will probably disagree. Just an opinion, otherwise good work. Layth

    Update of Breathe with Vocals

I liked the arrangment, but didn't get to hear the first one so I can't comment on that. The distortion is distracting, but I assume you will be fixing that. The song has a nice energy. Great vocals. How old did you say you were again? Layth

    LP's to CD's

Don't know what you have your turntable pluged into but if its a reciever or amplifier there should be some outputs on the back labled line out. Get yourself a cable from Radio Shack or Target that has RCA connectors at one end (the kind that plug into your reciever or amplifier, there should be...

    Layth actually post something

Fender, thanks for the listen. I heard yours too. If I had that kind of talent when I was that age I would have made all kinds of money for the record companies! Very nice work. The mic was a Shure sm96 condenser, which used a built in battery for power. The reverb was an Alesis Midiverb II . We...

    Layth actually post something

This the mp3 version of what Im submitting to the comp CD. Its ten years old, all tape and uses canned drums which really stink. Until I get my DAW this can be considered a teaching tool of what not to do. Im not the musician here. My friend John is the song writer and player but it is the...

    Dual Processing

Only the NT 4.0 Os or the new windows 2000 os can take advantage of multiple processors. All programs written for those will make use of the multi processors some what but only those programs that are written as multithreaded programs will take full advantage and there are very few that have...

    accelerating tempo (tempi?) (tempa?)

My daughter takes piano lessons so I got her an eltronic metronome which makes a loud click but she can also plug in headphones which disables the audio click. I believe it also has a red flashing light. Layth

AMD K-2 or Pentium III - is there a difference?

Thanks Gary, I'll be checking those sites out tonight. Sounds like it would work great for the amount video I do and even better for the DAW I'm building. It will be a combo video recording machine. This should help keep the cost down.

ill, I know scsi is over kill for audio unless your going for 24 tracks and 3 effects on every one and even then ide is probably fast enough but if you go with scsi on everything like the master drive the CDROM, a slave hard drive, a CDR drive, your scanner ect then you don't use any of those...

    First time for everything

cwillu, interesting teaser. Depending on what you come up with this could be the basis for a very engaging song. The rest could change the character completely. How's that for a little pressure but it sounds like you have the ability. Nice start! Waiting with baited breath, (no thats not...

AMD K-2 or Pentium III - is there a difference?

Gary, I agree about the raid question. I do computer animation and a little video and Raid 0 with data stripping works great. the computer see's two three or whatever drives you are using as one large drive. For video its imperitive. Just wish I could afford it for home. Someday. Layth
