Just grab a firewire PCI card, they're only about 25 bucks and work just fine.

my cobra's haven't failed me once in the long journey they've had with me, and they're adjustable to fit any taste. I've never found a person I couldn't get comfortable on a cobra. And if you like that heavy beater feel..... well..... don't complain, just get new beaters.

check out sausage. Pretty much the original lineup of primus. some really cool stuff to be found. He was in a thrash metal band at some point before primus as well, though i'm not sure of the name.

yeah those drums sound awesome espcially given the gear used. I haven't actually given tracking my kit a serious go.... maybe i will soon. know anybody who needs drum tracks?

well, some of the USB mics can be a little shoddy from what i've heard. I've played around with one at a music store that didn't sound to horrible, but it wasn't exactly amazing either. I'm not sure what brand it was though.

tmix's response should be the first thing you check really. that way you don't wind up re-tracking if it is such a simple problem.

I wish i could get some horns to sound real for me in fruity loops... It's all i've got sequencer-wise, and i'd LOOVE to pull out some ska/punk. Any suggestions on samples? (not meaning to hijack the thread, but it kinda goes along with it methinks.)
