I've never heard of such. Without it now in my signal chain, I don't hear a difference at all. I've used it for about a year now and I can't hear any audible difference from before. Not sure if this can be fixed or not. Haven't opened it up to find out, lol. Don't want to try and fix that...

I don't hear any difference in the monitors when panned left or right. There is a hole in the center cone from my son pushing it in and me pulling it back out with a set of surgical scissors. I tried using needles, but the material was too dense and kept bending them.

Looking for $140 + shipping on these bad boys. One monitor, however, has a small tear in woofer cone, but doesn't affect sound quality. Actually pretty hard to see too due to material. Shipping needs to be UPS or Fedex due to weight. Will include manual and power cables. Thanks-
