Yeah Ed, I was surprised that Alesis didn't offer that service myself. I have bought another hard drive and don't plan on messing with the original one til I find out for sure the data is all gone so there is still a little hope. Question I have is, Lets say I have a 10 song project on a hard...
Well, I just talked to Ty at Alesis, he said the header info on the disc appears to be erased. He suggested I try a data recovery place. I think I'll just go and shoot myself instead,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sigh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Ok,,after scanning the manual over and over, I see that when you attempt a cut/paste edit the machine will only play back the first five seconds and the last five seconds of an edit unless you press both edit start and edit stop at the same time.Sigh,,,,,,,if only I had understood that last...
Please be gentle here, I am sick over the mistake I just made. I have been doing some backing vocals on a soon to be finished HD-24 project for myself and was attempting a 3 track cut and paste. It was a small section of the chorus that I thought I would use to open the song. I set the start...
Yeah, I thought about packing them away somewhere and waiting for the big vintage adat revolution!! You know darned well that someday, people are going to be going nuts over these things when they find some alternate use for em'
Now that everyone is switching to other recording media, what the heck are we gonna do with all the old adats? I have three but I plan to keep one for remote recording but three??
Hi Dave, If you are interested in black face adats, I am selling two of them. They have been in my home studio only and are both the 4.03 software versions (most current). I have all the original packing for both of them including the owners manual, video manual, remote control and power cable...
I have two blackface adats for sale. One has 338 hours and the other has 415 hours. Kept in my smoke free home studio and in great shape. No errors ever. $400.00 each with free shipping in US (lower 48)
Well BBS, I knew I was right! (well not really, I thought I was right) I get home and pull out the owners manual and right there on page 3 under important features it states,"The HD24 ships with two drive caddies, one loaded with a 10-gigabyte hard drive which will yield approximately 45...
You know BBS, I scanned through things a little quickly and thought for sure it stated it was a 10g, I had read that they ship with a 20g as well. I will report later as to why I think it is a 10g, Thanks for the info!
Just got my HD24 yesterday, I thought it shipped with a 20g hard drive but it is only a 10g. Not enought space to transfer an existing adat project to. Where do you guys get your hard drives? (ie, best deals) Also, I have heard some don't work as well with the HD24. Thanks in advance
