Where's the best deal on "real" audio acoustic treatment?

Thanks All. Yes Bloomington, I read your earlier "safety post." Much appreciated. I don't smoke, and no one will enter the studio with any of their refreshing burley's. Still, I'm leary of the egg crate style of foam. Sounds like a good idea folkcafe. I'll look into that too. Perhaps I'll save...

Peace Ya'll, Does anyone have an inside on a dealer with good prices for treatment? Man, this stuff is like buying Gold! I should build a facility to manufacture it. Thanks, titan

    YAMAHA AW4416 Recorder

Yo, Hornetdude, Thanks for the skinny on the tables. I've never "fooled" with automation, so the fact that the 2816 has only 8 faders for 16 tracks gives me the willies. Sound quality does have #1 priority though. I'm scared of the learning curve, cause I wanna record it now- you know what I'm...

    YAMAHA AW4416 Recorder

Thanks D, I also noticed the Yamaha 2816. I assume it has fewer bells/whisles. Eight faders instead of 16. I don't like that. I'll take a look at the Roland and Korg. thanks much!

Bass Roll-off and -10 -when to use

Ed, I can dig it dude. Yea, my pre-amp levels are usually already set pretty high. A -10 reduction on the mic might in turn require me to "max out" the pre-amp levels. In my mind, that is not the optimum setting. Peace, titan

Bass Roll-off and -10 -when to use

clarification on -10 I'm glad YOU guys understood my question. The way I asked it was confusing. I like the way DOT puts it: "the non-use" or "use." So, Sounusman, I mainly record acoustic guitar, low-level drums, acoustic (pickup) bass guitar, synth keys, vocals. I run through an ART MP...

Bass Roll-off and -10 -when to use

Thanks Gentlemen. I guess drums and close vocals need both the roll-off and -10 engaged. (off) Any suggestions on when NOT to use these modes? What about acoustic guitar? Maybe a vocal "group recording." Thanks.

Bass Roll-off and -10 -when to use

I have an Audio-Technica 4033. I've misplace the manual. In what situations would I want to engage the bass roll-off or -10db functions? Thanks.

    Bass guitar for recording

Good Day, I'm looking for a low-price bass guitar for the studio. I don't give a rat's ass what it calls itself. Anyone have a relatively good sounding inexpensive bass to recommend? Thanks much. Price? $450 and under.

    All purpose effect- your recommendations

Tubedude, Tell me why you like the Voice Prism- when you have time. thanx. Gidge, My best microphone is the AudioTechnica 4033 and the ART Tube MP. Happy Friday... Oh ya, I can spend around $350. I'm assuming my Blue Max compressor is keeper???

    All purpose effect- your recommendations

Why 1 box? I don't have "much" to spend, but more than that, I thought there might be some new "do-it-all" effect out there. Thanks

    All purpose effect- your recommendations

Can anyone recommend a single device to give vocals a "fullness" or otherwise all around "great sound." Though I've been recording off and on for 10 plus years, I consider myself out of the loop and uninformed. I've had my low-cost reverbs for years, and am trying to re-start my recording thang...
