    A lighter tune...Tell me, Seagull

Tastefully done. Maybe a tad on the moist side for my personal taste, but I have very little taste. I like the doubled vox a lot. You sound younger than you probably are, which is a weird comment, but there you have it!

I Will Not Listen To Your Song, But Listen To Mine

Ha! Did that. Yeah, I didn't have any reverb on anything except the reverb on my amp intially. I appreciate you listening. It may still be too loud on the vocal, but it's been 24 hours, so I'm about sick of this one.

I Will Not Listen To Your Song, But Listen To Mine

I actually don't own a keyboard! There's midi stuff that can be done, but I actually don't mind physically playing the bass. The problem with me is sort of analysis paralysis. I hear things in my head that would maybe be cooler than root/5th, and I'll try something, then figure out it doesn't...

I Will Not Listen To Your Song, But Listen To Mine

I appreciate you taking the time, and those comments help. The vocal is definitely hot...sort of intentional for a songwriting thing, but I don't want to get too used to it before I retrack it. And the "angels" part has been re-written already, so I'd say I agree wholeheartedly! And the fade...

I Will Not Listen To Your Song, But Listen To Mine

Hahaha...I used to post here a lot, and I don't want to appear to be a driveby mixcheck guy, so maybe I will actually listen to your song! Maybe not, though. :thumbs up: I'm part of a songwriting group, and we were supposed to use the phrase "up in arms" in a song. I wrote and recorded a...

    My Freaky Lawyer Part #2

Hi MMM Had to check in on a lawyer song. I'm guessing you mixed the bg vox on headphones maybe? They're the only negative issue in terms of level...or something. I don't know if you rolled all the lows out of them...they sound like they're not bg vocals. The "oohs" levels seem ok. And the...

    Straight From My Heart (original)

    It's done.

    Feedback needed

It's like Pink Floyd meets early Grand Funk Railroad. Sounds like some of my early tape mixes...the kick just disappears. I think the top end of the kick sounds really washy too. I think the level between the bass and the vocal is ok, but I think the kick is low and I think the guitars sound...

I mixed a singer/songwriter today. Looking for critique on mix.

Sounds like a cheap guitar with old strings...or nylons maybe? It's also out of tune. It's fine for what it is. It's all about the vocal, and I think you did a nice job with that.

    "Hearts Collide" - feedback needed/wanted

I don't know of any free ones that I could recommend. If you get one, though, be super careful with it. It can help a snare pop a bit, and maybe a vocal...people get carried away and start "exciting" everything or (God Forbid) mastering with them to unpleasant degrees. You made a really...

    odd artifact?

lol...I listened closer at 15 seconds. Sounds like an old school DJ record scratch. Keep that shit.

    odd artifact?

Liv, lol...mother fucker. I have ACTUAL dogs barking in my home recordings. Lawn mowers, babies crying, Gunshots from TV's. What do you think makes homerecording so special? The perfection? If your next recording doesn't have some errant coughing in it, you failed.

    odd artifact?

Well then...until somebody else hears it, I'm going to diagnose you as schizophrenic. Enjoy that ride.

    Live recording with some overdubbs.

I think the drums work, but I still think they could be just a BIT brighter without losing the live feel you're going for. Think early recordings from The Strokes. But overall, it's a cool, live sounding recording, I think. I'm no pro.

LISTEN LIKE BRIAN Rob Green, Greg_L & rayc

lol...yeah, that. I don't know what to do with this. It's intentionally mono and lo-fi with a weak low end? WELL DONE! It's actually pretty harsh. If that's intentional, ok, but I've heard Sex Pistols recordings that are warmer.

    "Hearts Collide" - feedback needed/wanted

I like good pop music. Great vocal. I don't know if you've remixed it, but I don't think the vocal needs to be louder. Yeah, it's a bit indistinct, but that's maybe more of a performance issue, and there's really nothing wrong with it. That's what lyric sheets are for. But if you wanted to...

    General Feedback

The first file wouldn't play for me. ROCK JAMMER - Not bad, man. Sounds like it was mixed by a guitar player, though. The guitars seem to sort of overpower everything, which makes the mix sound smaller than it could. Not CRAZY loud...just a bit loud. And without vocals, my whole perception...
