Depends on what your budget is? M-Audio Ultra maybe? I tried the Tascam US-800 and I just couldn't get it work with major latency and stability problems. I know have the M-Audio Ultra 8R and the difference is night and day, the M-Audio just works! And works great.

I just got the US-800, and so far I like it, I haven't really put it through it's paces completely, but so far it's nicer than my M-Audio Fast Track Pro I had. One suggestion if you are running a 64 Bit operating system, read the instructions about installing the driver, don't just slap the CD...

Yeah but it's busted! USB port doesn't work!

As mentioned try the Tascam US-800, I have one on order, so can't really say first hand how great it is, but from what I've read it sounds pretty good, and you can't beat it for the price! $169 and it has 6XLR inputs and USB 2.0.
