i used the same cable with both condensers and the micro (sdc) worked fine. I'll try another cable tho. the mic is brand new, so i assume there would be a warranty. i should be able to try it with another interface this evening.

I just got it to work, I had to shut everything down and start the 8pre and then my computer. that made everything happy.

i just tried it on my friend's computer and it worked, so something must be wrong on my end...still clueless

I just got my MOTU 8pre in today and for some reason, my computer won't recognize it. When I first plugged it in, it said that it was downloading the drivers and now it isn't even showing up. I have tried everything I can think of, is there something i'm missing?

Let them know that there is a problem with timing, but if that's what they want, "the customer is always right..."

Sounded pretty good. Not my cup-o-tea, but well done on the recording. open up the mix a bit and i wouldn't be surprised to hear this song on one of the radio stations here. I could hear the cymbals decently, but the whole thing just sounded compressed, not like it went through a compressor...

I still think it needs more bass(I just listened to the newer one). I think maybe the levels could come up a bit more across the board as well, to give it a little more fullness. I think its a really good recording, I just wanted more, if that makes sense?

I agree the panning going on in trouble is strange, it kinda confuses my ears for some reason. over all I think they are pretty solid recordings. I really like your guitar tone on the solos, it fits very well.

I agree, I think the vox get lost for a while in the beginning. Maybe its just my crappy laptop speakers, but there isn't much in the way of bass. Most of the song comes across as super trebley to me, but again that could be my speakers...Fun song though!

look for a peavey megabass, they're from the 80-early 90's and run 400 watts into 4 ohms i believe. pretty decent distortion if you play with the gain/master volume. if you can find an old 2x15 or better yet a 1516 or 1820 you would be in business. just a warning, hit the gym if you are gonna...
