Nero, InCD, and Nero Media Player?

I recently got a Lite-On 52x burner, and it came with Nero CD burning software, InCD, and Nero's Media Player. Is Nero's stuff great to use? How do they stand up to other CD burning software? Which is the best?

    Real Drum Loops

I agree. Has anyone found a Naked Drums volume for under $100? Just curious if there's a site selling them for cheap. I've been keeping my eye on eBay, too. If all else fails, I won't mind shelling out the $100. The loops sound killer!

    Real Drum Loops

Fruity Loops came with Home Studio 2002. I've messed with it a little. Probably not enough to see what it's all capable of though. I'll have to try and find that "realistic" feature you mentioned. I'm sure it's worthy of some use. Naked Drums looks and sounds way better to me though...

    Import/Export Drum Loops?

When working with a drum loop program such as Naked Drums, how do I go about inserting it into a program such as CakeWalk's Home Studio 2002 to play over? I know it has something to do with importing and exporting, but can someone walk me through the steps. Thanks...

    24 Bit SoundCard

My Audiophile 2496 is on the way. Couple of quick questions so I can anticipate how to install it. Is it easy to install? He He. Is it necessary to uninstall anything that has to do with my previous Creative Labs soundcard, like the volume control, or anything? Thanks...

    24 Bit SoundCard

Whoa, nuff said! Thanks fellas. I needed to hear something like that to help ease my mind. I definitely want great sound quality, and I don't think I'm going to get what I want with the 16 bit card I have now. Audiophile 2496 it is... For some reason I could have sworn that it had 4 ins and...

    24 Bit SoundCard

I need a 24 bit soundcard, but I don't need tons of inputs and outputs. I like the idea of the M-Audio Audiophile 2496, but don't want to shell out that kind of money when I don't really need all those ins and outs that it comes with. I really only need to be able to plug my mic in for...

Which Input to Use on Soundcard?

This is probably going to sound like another dumb question from a newbie. It seems pretty obvious to me, but I need someone to ease my mind. My Creative Labs soundcard has two inputs: one with a mic symbol next to it, and another with a symbol that I think stands for direct-in (?). When...

    Real Drum Loops

Great! I'm glad to know they're out there. I like the looks of "Naked Drums". Is it easily incorporated into CakeWalk Home Studio 2002?

    Real Drum Loops

I'm looking for REAL drum loops. Not MIDI, not electrical-sounding, etc. Are there real drum loop CD's available? If so, which are the good ones to purchase? I know you can't beat a real in-studio drummer, but I can't manage that right now. Thanks for any help...

    Console View in HS2002

Yeah, I'm wanting to get a preamp or mixer of some sort soon. I was thinking maybe a Behringer product. Small mixer or tube preamp? Any suggestions?

    Console View in HS2002

Thanks fellas. That definitely gives me a direction to head for. Although I'm a little confused as to what order I should run my signal chain. For instance, do I do as follows: Guitar>Amp Processor>Amplifier; then mic the amp and run the cord from the mic to the sound card?

    Console View in HS2002

Would going through an effects processor such as a Line 6 POD or Digitech RP model unit work? I'm just trying to nail down how to record direct in. My preference is to mic an amp, but I'm wanting the best of both methods. I could also try using the Record Out jack on my amp.

    Console View in HS2002

I'm currently plugging my guitar straight into the sound card. Ahhh, the line-in fader! Is that what I need to mess with? Thanks. I'll try that...

    Console View in HS2002

I'm just using a sampled loop that came with HS2002 to mess with. That's what I meant by imported audio. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks for that great info on digital clipping. I was really wondering about that.

    Console View in HS2002

My next problem!: I've finally got the input level set right for recording my guitar, but now it's not as loud as the imported audio that I'm using. It's way quieter. I'm sure it's supposed to be adjusted from the Console View, but they don't give you much room to raise the volume. What's...

    Home Studio 2002 Tutorial

Yes, the tutorials are helpful. I too am a beginner with HS 2002, not to mention computer recording on my own. The tutorials helped get me started. But computer recording definitely takes time before you can actually start laying tracks down just the way you want. I've stumbled onto several...

    Setting Input Levels

Thanks for all the ideas. I'm glad I finally found such a helpful message board on recording. You guys seem to really know your stuff. I basically just have to tweak the input level on the Creative SB mixer then, and watch the record level meter in HS2002 until I get it where I want it.

    Setting Input Levels

I'm having trouble setting the input levels in Home Studio 2002. Where's the best place to start: Console View or the Creative Sound Blaster volume control. I'm having a hard time with both. Any ideas?

    ReValver for CakeWalk

Thanks. I kind of thought it was something along them lines. What causes a lot of latency?
