Dell has good support, cuz my sister had to use it a couple times.. CD player crapped out and something else which escapes me at the moment... It mostly comes down to support, cuz most computers use pretty much the same parts...

I really couldn't say, I've never played a scalloped neck guitar.... I wouldn't think it would make it any faster cuz the back of the neck is the same, the only difference is when your fingers press the strings they dont hit the fingerboard.. I wouldn't mind trying one though... I'll bet it...
