the audio buddy to the audiophile would be fine except that the audiophile only excepts rcas but you could find a cheap adapter cable that goes from 1/4" to rcas at any local radio shack or gc.

what would you be recording?

maybe just turn down guitars.

or do i just loose that time forever?

if i record a track doesnt it get stored somewhere? should i be able to find them and delete them?

whenever i record something on audacity the time remaining in the corner lowers. i know it takes away from my memory but i wondered if i could get that time back. if so could someone tell me how?

ok i have m-audios jam lab and gt player express. whenever i try to record thru audacity the signal comes out clean with none of the effects. does anyone know how to record thru the gt player express and make it so the signal comes out with the effects when i record thru audacity?

well i think its the comp because in the past ive done recordings with an mr8hd with the same mixer and it sounded fine. plus when i unplug all the equipment from the comp and just plug in my isolation headphones i still hear a distinct distortion.

i know im hooked up right. but i dunno its the soundcard that came with the comp.

i know the mic is the red one and im not plugged into it. does anyone record like this mixer out-1/8line in

ok soo i have a berhinger mixer and im running it directly into my comp with an 1/8 to 1/4 cable. Ive tested everything and i think that the comp has just a natural fuzz on it from the soundcard. But is this even possible? the comp is a 98.

I know this is off the subject but i just got audacity and i was recording my band i got a drum track down good but then i went to record bass and whenever i hit recorded it recorded the drum track onto the bass track with the bass. I made sure it was that because i put the drums on mute.

what is the midi output for on my fostex mr8HD? will it alow me to record through there to the comp? or is it for file transfer?

that guy was a real dick. i would never go to a studio with some jerk like that running it.

what would sound better: the line in jack in my computer or an fostex mr8hd.

its an older amp and when i do it direct is comes out fuzzy and micing it just sounds so much better
