what are some good recording programs fo mac that are free.

a friend of mine recently got a new mac and the computer doesnt have a tower like its all in one a screen/comp so thats all you have to carry around. it doesnt have any places to put in soundcards but there is like a few usb and firewire ports. anyway.....how will i connect an adat converter to it?

i have mackies tracktion ntrack and reaper. what would be some recommended interfaces and what kinda of cables do i need for the adat?

i like that converter and i would like to record with my comp. so what else will i need?

this device uses adat Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro-8 A/D/A Converter what the hell is that? and is it compatible with my mr8hd?

so heres the deal i have a superlux fk2 on the kick and a sm57 on the snare but i dont have a matching pair for the overheads. the only suitable mics for the job would be my nady cm90 and my mxl 990. could i use these together to get a good stero drum sound or should i save up for a new cm90/or mxl?

well the audio buddy is a pre you could use that with the jamlab.

well you could get an maudio jamlab with one input for cheap i have one and it works well

but the audiophile and audio buddy are around 180 together the line6 toneport is about 130. are you looking to record vox and guitar at the same time?
