When its all done, it will be less than 700 dollars. What do you guys spend 10s of thousands of dollars on? Instrumental equipment? All I'm doing is rapping/ vocals.

What is the difference between a mixer and a compresser? And do you need them for just recording vocals as a rapper like myself would do? Do I need both? Or would I do okay with just one? Thanks.
