    Probably hard to beleive? Its easy enough to mike things up and bounce down a few tracks, but a bit harder to get a spot on performance, especially the first track? The tape might have had a backing track all ready recorded for them by the time they got into the studio to put the first track...

    any advantage in erasing tapes externaly?

    Iv been pondering about picking up a bulk eraser for quarter inch tape for stereo recording, but reel2reel has an erasing head too. So, by using bulk eraser the tape would have been erased twice when making that next recording. ---

    Cause they look good and dress up that fancy deck.:D Have you seen those Metal shell ones where you can change the cassette reel in them. They can get expensive too.:D Even though they don't realy make tape anymore there is still plenty for recording. ---
