    "Is bass modeling necessary?" No, it is not necessary. Try recording your bass clean with zero bass, then adjust as necessary. Your ears will tell you how much to cut or boost.

    "..love listening to John Entwistle. The guy did absolutely innovative stuff. Later I got into Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, a little of Stanley Clarke and I always thought Andy West was way underrated. These guys pioneered "lead bass" and the "roaming" bass line." Precisely.
