Yes, remember that gig where your 12 string tried using a dead battery?
Why, yes, I do.:cursing:
That battery, committed "suicide by throwing" itself; for a few blocks.:guitar:
You can go the cheaper route and install a stereo jack, and use a wall wart.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_connector_%28audio%29
Some examples.
A 3.5mm jack, also disconnects the internal battery, when you plug it in.
Several ways and points, to mount the jack.....
That may be a good one.
The only way you'll know, is to buy one and test it out over time.
I stopped believing the "Battery Propaganda" years ago.:guitar:
Great job!
Don't worry about the few blemishes, you didn't want it to look factory perfect, did you?
Actually, there are "Zero perfect, factory, finishes".
They all have bad spots.
If you look close enough, that is.....
Sorry, man.....that is just an "old wives tale".
Unless you do a extremely shitty job, at repair/refinishing work.;)
On an acoustic instrument, it could/might make a difference, even though you, or anyone else; wouldn't notice it.
No shit, never could understand why some are afraid to do their own set-ups, or guitar/bass repairs.
No mystery to such a simple tool.
Never be intimidated by your own tools.;)
If you are, that means the tool is better/smarter.......than you.:guitar::guitar:
Take those batteries out of the guitar when you are not playing.
Those circuits continue to drain a few mA, (Milliamps), even when they are turned off...
Those mA's really add up after a while.
"Cool, I'd appreciate the input. What's a good blade for re-saw? I'm think 1/2" X 4tpi.
Use the lowest TPI, and the widest your saw can handle.
1-1.3 TPI.
Such as these BiMetal blades:
Woodmaster B Bandsaw Blade Coil Stock - EXCEPTIONAL RESAW BLADE STOCK
There is cheaper stock than this...
Another cool thing about wide spacing of teeth, is that they are so much easier to (reset the set), and easier to sharpen the teeth.
I usually use these for deepening the gullet, and putting a razor edge on all my blades.:
carbide burrs
And these:
carbide burrs
Since I have an OXY/ACET...
One of my old Akai/Roberts, went through Vietnam mudholes in 1965-67, and still works pretty good.
Could use new Caps about now.
Transport hasn't failed me in all that time.
I did have to make a new capstan roller from scratch, around 1980?.
That's why I always stressed, radio time.
Do interviews, anything else, to get into the public eye.
If you do not have it, there's a good chance your gigs, and dance floors; will be empty.
Music, is just like prostitution; you have to sell yourself.
With class.
"What I want to be the best player I can be before I croak and this is one of the very best ways to get there.
One song I gotta cop a super twangy country feel and the next I'm doing Miles Davis .... or Doctor John ....... or prog ..... or reggae .... demands a lot and that's what I want ...
