Here's Your Big Chance To TOTALLY Diss A Famous Guitarist

I've always loved zep, but heard he was terrible live. I never saw him. And if zep reunites I;m sure tickets will be more than I'm willing to pay and in a venue too big for me to enjoy. Not to mention no JB.

    Blotted Science

Can't remember who it was or which thread, but I'm pretty sure it was this forum where someone recommended Blotted Science, just got a copy today. DAMN. Just wanted to say thanks!

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

Not for all of us, and I think that's the point. Some of us sacrifice tone for other considerations like napping babies in the house, small budgets, small spaces, just-recording-not-gigging, etc. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the kind of tone that my budget and lifestyle don't allow...

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

Got to play one of these a while back through some 1x12, don't remember what, and I fell deeply in love. Looked in my wallet, decided to go with a Blackheart. Why did I decide to be a teacher instead of a lawyer!?

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

I think a major factor has to be the falling cost of recording at home. I'm not talking pro quality, but you can get set up for cheap enough that people can afford it as just a hobby. I don't think these are all serious guitar people snatching up valve jr's and blackhearts.

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

I got one solely for home recording, and it's perfect for that. In fact, it might be a little too loud (5w blackheart combo). When I gig, I'm a keyboardist, but when I'm recording at home, I play everything myself, and a small, quiet (relatively) decent sounding amp is perfect.

    midi controller

I downloaded the Reason demo, and was so impressed that within a couple days I bought it. Wanting to get a dedicated midi controller for my desk instead of using either of my fairly large keyboards, I found a deal on the cme u-key. I snapped it up quickly because it was refurbished and likely...

    virtual drums

Yeah, I used ezd at a friend's, loved it. But like I say, I can't use it with my current setup. Any alternative suggestions?

    virtual drums

Just ezdrummer so far. Luckily, I found this out before I bought it. Just looking for alternatives.

    virtual drums

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, but I got no help on either the beat-making or protools sections. What's your favorite virtual drums program for protools? I was all set to buy ezdrummer, but it's incompatible with protools 6.4, the latest version avalilable to us digi001...

    virtual drums for protools 6.x

I recenbtly tried out ezdrummer at a friend's, liked it, but found out it's incompatible with protools 6.x, and the latest version of pt available for my hardware is 6.4, so no ezdrummer. What other drum programs do you like that may be available for pt 6.4? I'm currently using frootyloops...

    ezdrummer = fail

So I used toontrack ezdrummer at a friend's, and I liked it. Just found out it's incompatible with protools 6.x, and 6.4 is the highest I can go with my digi001. Is there a fix for this? If not, is there a similar product I could use in my ancient version of protools? I'm currently using...

    mackie sattelite

Yikes, what's their customer service like? That's a surprise, as the one mackie mixer I have (ancient) is built like a freaking tank. It's old, so maybe qc has gone in the shitter in recent years. Oh well, at the price it's going for, seems worth a shot.

    mackie sattelite

I read about this on another thread, did a little looking on the web, and my question is this: at $100-$130 used, isn't this device with it's two onyx preamps a much much better deal than something like the dmp3? I've never used onyx preamps, but they get praised somewhat around here. Seems...

    what's on your pedal board?

Crybaby (love wah, hate this pedal in particular though) Fulltone OCD (I'm gay for this pedal) Korg tuner, can't remember the model, the $80 one However, if I had a really really nice amp, I'd lose the effects.
