Ethan,
I hope this relationship works for you, I have worked with this company in the past and found them to be quite aloof and very independent And while excellent at hunting down and eliminating mouse-squeeks and insect noise from the mix it was very difficult to motivate them to do anything...
Agreed, a friend of mine has that same board coupled with a pair of behringer truths and a delta 1010lt, The results we have come up with while using have been very good. The only thing that I don't care for is the eq, if all the ranges were parametric instead of just the mid, it would be a...
Hey great discussion guys, I just wanted to reiterate that I wasn't trying to give the op a cookie cutter recipe for success, just a starting point for him to start thinking of things and experimenting with his own sound. By giving him a basic idea of where I normally start off with my own...
I will generally run an eq and a compressor on my guitars, here's where I start with these and then will tweak until I get the perfect sound, Obviously these will vary due to differences in the original sound but it's a starting point.
Compressor,
4:1 ratio, Relatively quick attack, and medium...
let me give it a shot,
When you referred to a keyboard earlier you were talking about a one piece unit, A set of keys that makes sound.
Lets separate that one thing into two separate things... the physical keys that you play and the electronics that actually make the sound.
A midi controller...
the 424 mkII is an excellent machine, out of that list that is what I would go for, with the 414 coming in second and the mf p01 coming in last, as it is a very basic machine which you will probably outgrow very quickly.
you need to be aware that it is getting more difficult and more expensive...
yeah I'm not really sure... that was just the first thing that struck me, if you are getting the same error from multiple discs though it's probably not the issue
Ah I see that now... boy the way the descriptions and specs are written and listed are is pretty poor, your totally right. Seems like it's actually a pretty cool card.
The way the specs were written it seemed like there were no outboard capabilities... but yeah 4 outs 2 inserts a main and a...
yeah it's a mess, my capstan looked like it was made of rubber after I tested the transport functions when I brought the 48 home. I just cleaned all that up, and judging by the mirror I would say that all I did was transfer it to various places all over my clothes and body:D
Awesome thanks guys... I was just concerned that if I took the rubber off it might not be rebuildable, and then I was just curious if the factory replacement was the whole assembly or just the rubber. Terry's site says he strips all the old rubber off when you send it to him, so I think I...
Yeah i spent a while looking at the links, it's all pretty vague and confusing:) but now that I'm looking again the specs page manages to list the outputs in an understandable way, you get:
2, spdif
1, 1/4" stereo headphone jack
1, 1/4" stereo monitor jack
Which is what I don't personally...
Hey if I get a new roller from Tascam does it come with a new bearing, or is it just the rubber?
And if at some point in the future I need to have one rebuilt by Terry does he actually rebuild from the old rubber or does he just form a new rubber piece around the bearing?
I'm finally doing...
that should work fine, you will just need some rca to 1/4" adapters, and then you can run a second rca cable from your master out on the tascam to the receiver and you will still be able to have everyone hearing it, you'll probably have a little bleed and just be careful the mic doesn't pick up...
